Open Broadcaster Software is a free and open source tool for live

streaming and recording, maintained by OBS Studio. OBS is available across


several platforms like Windows and Linux. It provides the facilities of real
time source and device capture, creating scenes, encoding, recording and
broadcasting. OBS provides a simple user interface comprising of five
sections: scenes, sources, audio mixer, transitions, and controls. Scenes are created using
groups of sources like live and recorded video, text and audio. Audio mixer helps in controlling
the audio. The stream or recording can be controlled using control panel. One can easily preview
the video and monitor and edit the current scene.

 Support for multiple scenes with easy transitions between them
 Audio mixer with features such as noise suppression
 Easily configurable through streamlined settings panel
 Customize layout through a modular ‘Dock’ interface

Save these videos in your system. In the upcoming sessions, you will understand how
to edit and share them with us. This assignment needs to be submitted by 28 April ‘20.
