To Whom it may Concern,

In my capacity as an Assistant Principal, I have known Ms. Escoto for the past three years. I have
been Ms. Escoto’s evaluator for the past two years. In this capacity, I have been able to gain a
strong understanding of her ability as teacher.

Ms. Escoto has a strong grasp of her content and is able to disseminate that information to the
students in her classes. Ms. Escoto has developed classroom discipline techniques that have been
successful, so much so, that her department members have adopted the same behavior
management system in their classrooms. Ms. Escoto is also active in getting her classes practical
experiences with science. She regularly contracts field trips for classes where they receive a
hands on experience with many different aspects of what they are studying in the classroom.

In addition, Ms. Escoto has a skill of being able to reach all levels of children. At Edgewood
High School there is a wide range of students with differing socioeconomic, behavioral, and
ability levels that Ms. Escoto has built strong relationships with. She has a tireless work ethic and
is constantly talking with young people, steering them in directions that will benefit them in their
future. She stays after school, works with students in need of extra help, and uses that time to
actively mentor students on how to develop good study habits and test taking skills.

It is without reservation that I recommend Ms. Escoto for employment with your school system.
She has developed a strong skill set in respect to teaching in a cultural diverse classroom. Her
work ethic is evident in the time she spends at school and beyond the school day with students.
