1. Our country right now is more aware about mental health, but despite the
mental health movements going on it seems that it’s not really effective in
our society. Why is it so?

- One reason is because of the stigma that society constructed whereas a

result, manifested hesitance. In addition to that, people emerge as reluctant
and unwilling for help that regardless of initiatives the well-intentioned
exhausts, efforts will be futile. Mental health movements are evidently
rampant at this age but the lack of dissemination of awareness and support
hinders progress.

2. When it comes to the LGBTQIA+ community why do we tolerate their

demands and acts? Can we really say that they are abusing the rights given
to them to the point that they are trampling the rights of others?

- We tolerate their acts and demands because a small amount of humanity and
understanding is the bare minimum we can give in comparison to the rights
they were denied of, discrimination they endured and brutality they were
subjected to for years. They don’t abuse their privilege per se, they presume
it is only natural to be given such because they were deprived of liberty.

3. Why is it that we prioritize our physical health first rather than our mental
and emotional well-being?

- People prioritize physical health at the expense of mental health given that
the masses are undereducated hence ensuing the lack of awareness and
grasp of its anatomy. The stigma also instigates reluctance of people;
poverty is also a factor considering how accessibility for tests are limited and
costly in our country, whereas the benefit of convenience are mostly for the
privileged.

4. As discussed in “self-care” catharsis means “the talking cure” or talking to

someone we trust in order to release our pent-up emotions that we feel
inside, kindly explain what might be the advantages and disadvantages of
being sympathetic and empathetic when listening to other people.

- The pros of this is that it stimulates prosocial behaviors as well as being able
to effortlessly relate to others. Also, cons should be recognized from which
one would be susceptible of being emotionally manipulated and consumed by
other’s emotions that one would choose to prioritize other people more;
disregarding their own feelings thus could become attached to problems
itself.
