Sindhu Joshi is a talented young woman of 24. Unfortunately, she is born deaf. She cannot hear or
speak. However this handicap did not deter her from choosing a career. For last 5 yrs, she is working
as a typist in a medium size company. Wth the advent of computer, her company also bought a few
of them. She got training on word processing and does all her jobs on computers.

Through a marriage bureau, she was introduced to Vikas Wagh. He ispartially deaf. He is
working as a computer programmer in a small software company. They got engaged. Vilas thought
of starting a small business for Sindhu while he would have continue with the job. Together, they
thought of setting a DTP unit. They had a room of 15ftX10ft available. The computer system
comprising of hardware and software would have cost them around Rs 200,000. Luckily there are
schemes available from banks to support handicapped persons. Further, as woman entrepreneur
also she would have got the help Both were adept with computers and hence they started their
company called ͞different font ͚͛ after their marriage.

However, soon they realised that working for someone else is always easy. When you start your
own business then you have to look after so many things. Getting orders, executing them in time,
