POWER, POLITICS AND RIGHT OF THE BACKWARDS

I, Dr. Ravikant Nirala, a Ph.D. scholar, from a premier Veterinary research institute
Izatnagar, Bareilly am very much interested and motivated to contribute my thoughts,
vision and experiences in core decision making institution. I have full exposure of rural –
urban discrepancies, gender biasness as well social and cultural anomalies. From
travelling to public meetings, I sense/sensed many problems and paradox prevalent in
our society. Subsequently, its solution spark suddenly into my mind, but it gets badly
aborted without of its practical implementations at an appropriate platform. So, now I
have started to gather these ideas and want to disseminate it through personal
communication to our colleagues.

There is severe paradox in idealistic thought, vision, mythological dictum and

ongoing cultural/statute practices in our society. Illusion/faith more or less is still
governing the Indian society. Henceforth, I/we always think that we are wrong in all our
common livelihood practices, which diminishes our confidence and creativities. It is
because of prevailing paradox of legal and cultural anomalies.

I always think to address these problems and tried our best to generate
confidence and nationalistic temperament among people through different means. I
have studied many articles related with socio-cultural practices prevalent in different
corners of the world and learned, how they have engineered their problems successfully
for the empowerment of their citizens/masses.

5
Of course, many countries have successfully launched their own programs in its
different areas realizing the need of social engineering. India has also borrowed (sadly,
‘very few only’ have been generated at our soil as per socio-economic situations) these
programs and nicely incorporated them in our national planning’s in different arena.
Programs were either based on area, region, sector, gender, social discrepancy or on
the basis of cultural-economic differences. Out of all these programs; people oriented
programs have done marvellous performance decades after decades in up liftment of
status of our masses.

However, I do believe, many areas till now have remained untouched, which is
sadly helping to wilt our flourishing democracy. Internal disturbances and non-state
actors have emerged as a paramount threat before us. Socio-economic disparities and
psycho-cultural differences are fiercely fuelling the problems of naxalism, regionalism as
well casteism in our country.

For this I do interpret, that the present governmental system is partially inclined
towards colonial strategies; to suppress people’s movement, through forces under the
power of policing rather than to address socio-economic discrepancies in all the
spheres of the democratic institutions. Pay channels, press and electronic media are
also not reflecting faces of every social stratum of our people. Moreover, rural-urban
gap in development has painfully emerged a cause of concern in the nation building.

Taking notice of these problems: essential education and economic up-liftment

has to be disseminated up to a very grass route end user people. There is also need to
focus on judiciary side, which has remained sanctuaries of nepotism as well as
institutionalized criminalism. It also needs to make such a law that will give an
opportunity to citizens of our country to elect representatives (justice/jury) from every
stratum of people, who will deliver transparent judgement to make a just society. Which
may be propelled either through public representation or through affordable competition,
but not through collegium system, it had aborted to reflect an outlook of pan-India socio-
cultural strata?

5
Henceforth, need is not only reservation in favour of region, gender and classes,
(although classes are in pipeline of the making in India); but requirement is of
transparent and true-worthy implementation of entitled reservation. Corporate sector
should also take social responsibilities to flow their funds for investment in infrastructure
as well charity establishment. They should promptly make focus for absorbing people of
all classes, sects and regions, which is undeniably the real face of our close society.

We should Chrystal-clearly realise the global perspectives of social discrepancies

or racial conflicts prevalent in Cyprus, Srilanka, Figi and Kyrgyzstan, where these
countries had been badly trapped in ethnic conflicts and are on the verge of
fragmentation. In contrast, we should learn lessons from Switzerland, Philippines and
Belgium: these nations have fully managed their pluralistic human resources and have
done beautiful job in socio-cultural engineering.

Our strength lie in rich cultural traditions like yoga, Ayurveda medicine, cultural
diversity, pluralistic human resources and folk treatment practices. These areas should
be given ample space to make market not only in our country, but also in other parts of
the world. Sensing these attributes, I think politics is a better platform for we people to
contribute our gathered knowledge to empower our country.

MESSAGE FOR BACKWARDS AND DALITS

Feel the sentiments of Government, from where intellectual crime is flowing

uninterruptedly. They are teaching and compelling us to follow the rule, but our national
organisations/ commissions are opting their own path. Is it a true democracy, where
90% Higher court ‘justices’ are from a particular caste/class. In this institution there is no
reservation or proper representation of people of every classes. Nevertheless, we are
painfully bound to obey their judgement.

Moreover, where there is already reservation; but they are not bound to follow
the entitled rules. Of course, we are looked pathetically tainted, of being not deserved
for the dignified post. We are virtually shown that, our self being selected on the basis

5
of reservation, but nicely these institutions are extending 50% reservation for general
classes (excluding OBC, SC, ST and PH) .

So, we the backward/depressed classes have to take a notice to make unity at

national level. Don't be lured of religion politics of upper caste, because historically
oppressed castes of every religion are facing similar problems of segregation and are
bound to work in menial jobs. So, we have to sharpen our roaring voice for our optimum
representation in every sphere, as per the census (not less than that): in every domain
of India from defence, sports, journalism, and judiciary, corporate to civil jobs.

It will only become possible; if national leadership will be under the hand of any
backward fellow. Hence, it is my cordial request to our intellectual colleague to think for
unity under a solitary banner of OBC's and DEPRESSED classes; for the sake of
laggard people. Further, my earnest request from the same classes is that; not be fall
lured on slogan of congress, BJP and communist party’s, which air message of being
not casteist, but it is only for the sake of vote. Nicely, their policies are totally pro
-Brahman/upper caste oriented.

you can analyse from the present scenario, that more than 90% singular posts
like Governors, VC's, Directors, Chairman’s, Principals of Public/ private institutions,
religious fields, Editors, entrepreneurship/CEO’s of corporate, electronic/ print media,
head of many organized/ unorganized institutions either from defence or civil fields,
whose leadership is in the hand of upper caste; mostly Brahman. They have slaved us
culturally, socially, politically, educationally (like not read/ touch Veda) from millennium.
You can imagine; how many Brahmans are sweepers, who are engaged in menial or
servile jobs? These fields are only reserved for OBC and Dalits.

Is it a true democracy, where 92% jail inmates are from backward and
dalit communities? In contrast, all the policy deciding/ implementing, royal posts are
under the hand of upper castes. We are of course thankful to Britishers, who have
framed an institution, where right to vote is an instrument to lift the power. At the same
hand, we are ashamed that the same was not implemented in judiciary and civil
services, where backwards are bruised at the hand of Nehruvian policy. I think voting is

5
essential in these institutions for adequate, worthy and real representation of every
classes.

Hey my backward colleague; come and go ahead to strengthen our voice to

make compel the ongoing government to extend our right. We have to learn lessons
from Venezuela, Cuba, South Africa and several other east European countries, where
backward leadership is tramping in full sway of social engineering: Moreover, they are
not being trapped under the ‘upper class’ leaderships.

See the bigger goal and not split over myopic/ short target. Hence, elect the
leadership, who are fighting for census, backward unity/upliftment and social justice.
Sincerely ignore the leadership, who have been trapped either in nepotism or them are
acting as a villain of our own community, by dividing us on false/confused ‘so called
development/ religious/regional’ agenda, for their own interest of Vote, but not for social
justice. We have to centralize our goal and heat prime target to make ours
representation in every system of India.

My slogan to our own people is, come backward and dalits fellow at the same
platform: awake, arise and stop not till our goal of social justice, social
engineering and equal representation of ours in every domains of India are not
being achieved.

Collect it my friend and ignite awareness among our own victim people; to use
"RTI", a sharp intellectual weapon for the well wishes of depressed/backward classes.
Thanks.
