Electrical protective signaling systems are configurations of components used to produce alarm signals indicative of fire, smoke,
sprinkler waterflow or other emergency and to produce supervisory signals indicative of conditions needing attention with respect to
protection equipment or watch service. System configurations are classified according to where and how the signals are received.
The categories are commonly designated as local, municipal, remote station, proprietary, emergency voice/alarm communication,
emergency communication, and central station. Auxiliary systems are either local or proprietary systems interconnected with a
municipal system.
This category presents the major system component categories and the integrated system configurations. The selection of
components to form a hybrid system should be made only by those skilled in system design. Also, the suitability of any system
application should be judged on the basis of the hazard(s) being protected.
Other option modules in addition to the 4010-9929 IDNet 2+2 module, which may be included inside the system consist of a
selection of the following assemblies: 4010-9902 and -9922 modular network interface with the 4010-9818 wired (RS-485) or
4010-9819 fiber communication media modules, 4010-9905 and -9926 (Style 4) or 4010-9906 and -9927 (Style 7) TCP/IP
Physical Bridge, 4010-9914 Building Network Interface card used to communicate with control via an Ethernet connection to
obtain system status for service only, 4010-9909 and -9010 city circuit modules, 4010-9908 and -9911 relay modules, 4010-9918
dual RS-232 interface card, 4010-9916 Twenty-Five Volt Regulator module, 4010-9920 Class B and -9921 (Class A) zone
modules which are compatible with two-wire detectors, 4010-9901 VESDA interface for connecting Xtralis aspiration type smoke
detectors to the 4010ES. Zone and IDNet assemblies that support two-wire detectors are compatible with the following: Model
VLC-600 aspirating smoke detector Models 2098-9201, -9202, -9203, -9544 , and -9576 smoke detectors with 2098-9211 and
9637 bases; Models 4098-9401, 9402, 9403, and 9404 heat detectors; Models 4098-9601, -9602, -9603, and 9605 detectors
with 4098-9788 and 9683 bases; Models 4098-9612, -9613, -9614, and 9615 heat detectors with 4098-9788, -9683, and 9684
bases; and Models 4098-9681, -9685 and -9688 duct sensor housings with 4098-9601 smoke detector .
Standby batteries from 6.2 to 50 AH are available to provide 24 hour emergency power. Model 4100-0650 battery shelf can be
provided to prevent the batteries from shifting inside of the enclosure. Up to 110 AH of emergency battery power can be provided
by utilizing the Models 4081-9306 or -9308 expansion battery chargers. The central unit can further be connected to a selection
of the following operator annunciators: 4100-9401, -9402, -9421, -9422, -9441 or -9442 remote user interfaces; or 4606-9102 or
-9102C F remote LCD annunciators. Optional remote accessories include the Models 4190-9021 and -9022 (single mode) or
-9024 and -9025 (multimode) Fiber Optic communication modules and expansion cabinets. The expansion cabinets can
optionally include a 4190-9023 (single-mode) or -9026 (Multi-mode) Right-Port Fiber Optic communication module. As well as
the Fiber communication modules, other remotely connected accessories include the 4009 TrueAlert Power Supply (4009 TPS)
