Eportfolio Evaluation Rubric

This is a checklist that the members of my group developed to assess our portfolios. As a pass/fail
assignment, the project will not be a pass until it has successfully achieved each point in the checklist.

Artifacts:

• Artifacts represent milestone markers along one’s journey, and should appear regularly in a
logical order.
• Artifacts should be situated in context and presented in a logical, coherent structure.

Mechanics
• The author used correct and effective use of the English language.
• The author avoided technical difficulties. (ie: broken links)

Metaphor:
• The metaphor contributes to reader’s understanding of the author’s experiences.
• The metaphor is embedded in the eP, not just layered on the top.
• The metaphor is unique and creative.

Multimedia:
• The eP demonstrates the author’s learning through a variety of media.
• The author used their chosen web platform to its full extent.

Navigation:
• The way one navigates the eP reflects the relationship between ideas, relationships, and one’s
progress through the program.
• The reader can navigate the eP in a natural, effortless way that helps them understand the
author’s journey.

Reflection:
• The author make connections between insights gained from different courses and between
their coursework and their professional life.
• Evidence of reflection occurs as the eP unfolds as well as summatively.
