Course Description This course discuss in detail the basic Professional Values and the Code of Ethics for

s for Professional
Accountants and Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) of Corporate Governance. Topics also
include governance and business ethics, risk management, organizational structure including business
processes and risks, communication, management and leadership principles, information technology
and business continuity, financial management and the global business environment.

Program Educational Three to five years after graduation, the Accountancy alumni shall:
Objective (PEO) PEO1. Support various stakeholders in taking strategic and operating decisions through the
presentation and analysis of financial data and information arising from business transactions;
PEO2. Continuously acquire and maintain professional competence through related work experience
and Continuing Professional Development (CPD);
PEO3. Pursue further professional licensure (Certified Public Accountant) and certifications and obtain
global qualifications to progress to international work environment;
PEO4. Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics in the practice of the Accountancy profession.
PEO5. Participate in activities geared towards improvements of the local community, professional
organization and the society as a whole.
Program Outcomes (PO) At the end of the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program, the graduates should be able to:
PO1. Resolve business issues and problems, with a global and strategic perspective using knowledge
and technical proficiency in the areas of financial accounting and reporting, cost accounting and
management, management accounting and control and accounting information systems;
PO2. employ technology as a business tool in capturing financial and non-financial information,
preparing reports and making decisions;
PO3. understand the impact of tax, business, and commercial laws to business operations and
decisions;
PO4. apply knowledge and skills to successfully respond to various types of assessments (including
professional licensure and certifications);
PO5. maintain a commitment to the core values of the University, good corporate citizenship, social
responsibility and ethical practice in performing functions as an accountant;
PO6. identify and describe the basic concepts that underlie each of the functional areas of business
and employ these concepts in various business situations;
PO7. express clearly and communicates effectively with stakeholders both in oral and written forms
