Short Film: A Daughter’s Love

Scene 1
------Cellphone conversation-------
Madam: Hello? Katrina?
Katrina: Hello Madam, good morning!
Madam: Have my daughters arrived already?
Katrina: Yes madam, they’re here with me.
Madam: Okay. That’s good to hear. I’m almost there.

Scene 2
Madam: My daughters! (Beso2x with the daughters, then greeted Katrina)
Madam: Let’s all sit. I’ve called all three of you because I have something very important to tell you.
Let me have the papers, Katrina.
Katrina: Here it is Madam (handing the papers to Madam)
Madam: I am not getting any younger, and my health is already deteriorating. So, I have decided to
finally split all of my wealth, properties, including my shares in all of my businesses to the three of
you. However, I have not yet decided who gets what. It will greatly depend to what I will hear from
each of you three. Now, here’s my question to each of you, how much do you love me, as your
mother? Being the eldest, you may answer first, Georgina.
Georgina: Mama, I love you more than words can say. I love you more than your riches. I love you
more than eyesight, space, and freedom. I just love you so much.
Madam: Oh, how sweet, my love. How about you, Natalia? How much do you love me?
Natalia: Mama, Georgina already said everything I want to say to you. But I love you more than she
loves you, and that’s for sure!
Madam: Ok then, Natalia. Thank you for your sweetness. I am beyond happy and blessed to have
such beautiful and sweet daughters. Now, it’s your turn Cordelia, my precious, most loved daughter.
What can you say?
Cordelia: Nothing Mama..
Madam: Nothing?!
Cordelia: Yes, mama. Nothing. I don’t have anything to say to you.
Madam: O c’mon Cordeila, nothing will get you nothing. Try harder.
Cordelia: Mama, I love you like any daughter should love her mother. Nothing more, and nothing less.
I don’t have to say flowery words just to prove my love for you. Whatever it is that you will give to me,
I will surely receive it with all of my heart.
Madam: Is that all you can say to me?! After all the lovin’ that I give you?! Well, if that’s all you can
say to me, I will disown you as my daughter! Go away, get out of my sight!
Katrina: Wait madam, don’t do that. Please, think it over before making such decision.
Madam: Shut up Katrina! If you do not want to lose your job, you better shut up!
Katrina: I don’t care if it will cost me my job or my life madam. All I really want is to protect you,
madam.
Madam: Shut up Katrina! You get out of my sight! You’re fired! And you, Cordelia, you too get lost!
 Scene 3: At Georgina’s House
Georgina: Inday! Inday! Come here Inday!
Inday: Yes, madam?
Georgina: While the old woman’s here, be sure to be lazy and you do not listen to whatever she tells
you to do. You understand?!
Inday: But why, madam? Aren’t she your mother? And I think she’s old, I must help her and assist
her.
Georgina: You dare to question me? Have you forgotten I am the one who pays you, you prick! Now
get out of my sight! Go back to whatever you are doing!
Inday: I’m sorry, madam. I will do whatever you say. Excuse me.
Georgina: (talking to herself) She thinks she still has the authority here! Let’s see…

Scene 4 -Madam and Inday

Madam: Inday! Inday, where’s my food! I am starving here, I want my food, now!
Inday: (Passed by Madam and ignores her)
Madam: Hey Inday! Where are you going?! Stupid! Hey! Come back here! Rogelio! Vicente! Where
are my bodyguards?! Where’s everybody?!

Scene 5 –Madam and Georgina

Madam: Georgina, why did you fire my bodyguards?!
Georgina: They’re so noisy, annoying, and bring me nothing but headache!
Madam: You have no rights to do that!
Georgina: Well, is that so? Let me remind you mother dear, in case you have forgotten, you do not
have the authority, nor the power anymore!
Madam: How dare you?!! I’ll go to Natalia’s, and you, you rot in hell!

Scene 6 –At Natalia’s house

Natalia: Nurse Jane, has mama awake already?
Nurse: Yes, madam. She’s now awake.
Natalia: Well, you better give these to her. Make sure she drinks it.
Nurse: What are these meds for madam? She’s already having her medications.
Natalia: You do not question me, okay?! Just do what I tell you to do.
Nurse: Okay, madam. (But she seemed curious)

Scene 7- Nurse Jane and Madam

Madam: Hey, nurse Jane, come sit down.
Nurse Jane: Madam, I think you should get out from this house.
Madam: What are you talking about?!
Nurse: You daughter, Natalia is giving you poison in exchange of your meds. She’s trying to kill you.

After 2 months----Nabuang na c Madam, nagpa gala2x nalang siya…

 Scene 8- Georgina and Natalia
Georgina: Hello sis!
Natalia: Hey, what are you doing here?!
Georgina: I came to look for Mama, is she here with you?
Natalia: She’s been missing for almost 2 weeks now. Maybe the nurse learned about my plan and
told her.
Georgina: Is that so? How unfortunate! And to think that we’re almost done with our plan.
Natalia: So, sis..what do we do now?
(Cordelia arrived and heard what Georgina and Natalia were talking about)
Georgina: I still have plan B. I know someone we can hire to kill that old woman and finish her once
and for all!
Cordelia: (Walks towards the two sisters) I am right all along. You wicked monsters! Mama loves us
so much, takes care of us and gives us everything we need and yet you repay her with what? You
want her killed?!
Natalia: And what do you want us to do? You want us to love her?! Mama loves only you, the one and
only perfect Cordelia.
Cordelia: I don’t know what you’re talking about. Mama loves us equally. All three of us.
Georgina: Oh you shut up!
Cordelia: Where is she? Where is mama?!
Georgina: We don’t know! Maybe she got hit by a car somewhere, for all we care! Maybe she’s
already dead!
Cordelia: You ungrateful monsters! (Walks away)

Scene 9- Meanwhile Katrina saw Madam nga nabuang na…

Madam: Cordelia! Cordelia, my daughter...where are you?!
Katrina: (surprised to see Madam) Madam?! Hey Madam Leara, are you okay? What happened to
you? (Calls Cordelia)
Cordelia: (runs towards her mama and Katrina) Mama! What happened to you?! Oh mama..
Madam: Lady, do you know Cordelia? Have you seen my sweet Cordelia? She’s the sweetest, the
kindest. I love her so much..I want to see her.. (Cries)
Cordelia: What have they done to you, Mama? They’ll pay for this!
Katrina: It’s better if you take her home with you, Cordelia. Now is not the right time and the right
place to talk, Cordelia. Let’s take her somewhere safe first.

Scene 10 – Madam and Cordelia moment

Madam: Cordelia my dear, can you still forgive me for everything I’ve done and for ll the pain and
suffering I’ve caused you?
Cordelia: Mama, let’s just forget everything that’s happened and put the past behind us. Let’s just
start fresh and live a peaceful life, just the two of us.
