Natural Disasters
Activity 1: Translate the next Natural Disasters into Spanish. Practice the pronunciation in English
Verb Patterns

Like: Gustar Hate: Odiar
Love: Amar Detest: Detestar
Enjoy: Disfrutar Dislike: Desagradar
Examples:
Luisa starts dancing when she hears music. Luisa comienza a bailar cuando escucha
música.
I miss talking with you. Extraño hablar contigo.
I like going to the cinema Me gust air al cine
I hate going to the dentist Odio ir al dentista
My brother loves playing video games Mi hermano ama jugar videojuegos

gerundio normalmente.
love > loving
come > coming
see > seeing
2. Los verbos formados por una sola sílaba que solo tienen una vocal y terminan en consonante, doblan esa
consonante antes de añadir —ing.
run > running
win > winning
sit > sitting
3. Los verbos de dos sílabas con la acentuación en la segunda sílaba también doblan la consonante.
begin > beginning
prefer > preferring
admit > admitting
Activity 3: Write two sentences with each rule in your notebook or portfolio. Use the examples in the
explication of each rule.
A continuación, encontrarán una serie de actividades, las cuales les ayudaran para poner en practica los
