GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

PROJECT : PINE PUREE ROOM

LOCATION : DMPI COMPOUND BUGO, CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY

1. Concreting and Masonry

1.1 Structural concrete such as footings, column, beams, and slabs shall be
3000psi concrete at 28 days.
1.2 Plasters and mortars shall be 3000psi or 12 bags of 40 kg cement per One (1)
cubic meter of sand
1.3 100mm concrete hollow blocks shall be non-load bearing however all cells
must be filled with mortar described in section 1.3.
1.4 All Concrete Mix shall be clear, sharp and well graded, and free from
injurious amount of dust, lumps, shale, alkali, surface coatings and organic
matter.

2. Steel works
Materials:
2.1 All structural steel i.e. purlins, angles and the like shall have minimum yield
strength of 275 MPa.
2.2 All structural steel shall be painted with red oxide primer and 2-coats white
QDE (Welcoat).
2.3 Welding electrodes shall conform to AWS A-5.1 or A-5.5, E-60 electrodes.
Electrodes for dissimilar metal (SS and MS) shall be all state 275 or approved
equivalent.
2.4 Welding of structural members in shop and in field shall be done only by
certified and experienced welder.
2.5 Surfaces to be welded shall be free from loose sides, rust, grease and other
foreign materials that will impair the soundness of the weld.

3. Reinforcing Steel Bars

3.1 Reinforcing steel bars shall have minimum yield strength of 275 MPa
3.2 Reinforcing steel bars shall not be welded.
3.3 Reinforcing steel bars shall be mechanically bent. Heating is not allowed.
3.4 Reinforcing steel bars shall be secured into its position by means of ga.16 G.I.
tie wires.
3.5 Hooks, bends and splices shall conform to the ACI code requirements.

4. Roofing works
4.1 Roofing shall be 0.40mm thick pre painted corrogated GI Sheets
4.2 Bended accessories like gutter, wall flashing shall be galvalume 55 sheets
bended as indicated on the plan.
5. Finishing
5.1 Floor
 5.1.1 Flooring shall be coated with Alphatic 661 floor lamination system
color Delmonte beige.

5.2 Walls and Partitions

5.2.1 Masonry wall plastered both sides with solvent base paint.

5.3 Doors and windows

5.3.1 All windows shall Polycarbonate sheet in aluminum frame.
5.3.2 Entrance door shall be swing door SS (1 panel) with complete locking
system.
5.3.3 Hardware such as doorknobs, hinges and handles shall be stainless
steel.
5.3.4 Door curtain shall be acrylic vinyl 200mm x 3mm color yellow.

5.4 Ceiling
5.4.1 150mm wide PVC spandrel on light metal frames.

6. Plumbing works
All piping materials, fixtures and fittings accessories whether specifically mention
or not but necessary for the completion of the project shall be furnished by the
contractor.

6.1 All materials shall be of quality made by reputable manufacturers, free from
defects, and shall be true, smooth and cylindrical, their inner and outer
surfaces being as nearly as concentric as practicable.
6.2 All waste pipes shall be 2” dia, series 1000 uPVC Pipe.
6.3 Water Supply Pipe - shall be ½” dia GI pipe, Schedule 40 and connection
shall be threaded. Welding connection is not allowed.
6.4 Wash Sink- Stainless Steel Single compartment.
6.5 Floor Drain- Stainless Steel Drain with detachable strainer (4” x 4”).
6.6 Lavatory – Glaze tile 20cm x 20cm white (mariwasa) with mounting
accessories.
