President’s Message Next Meetings


Many of us are just back on the golf course but we still continue to
be a ZOOM Rotary club. We have also been blessed with some sun- THURSDAY 21 MAY

ROTARY MEETING VIA ZOOM -
The last two ZOOM Club meetings went well with Elle Giles from ROTARY FELLOWSHIP NIGHT -

and then last week PE Adrian was leading a Club Forum on our
Strategic Plan. Please remember to do the club questionnaire he
has sent us all. He will report back to us on this in the last meeting of
this Rotary year.
At our May Board meeting we decided to have a ZOOM changing of
the Guard followed by a grand celebratory Presentation Dinner at
VGC when this becomes possible. At this dinner we will be celebrat-
ing our Changeover and also our return to normal meetings. This
reminds me to tell you it is not too late to enter the club sweepstake
and or Guessing game as to what date we will return to VGC for a
club meeting. This closes on May 31st so there still time to have a
go. Please refer to the email I sent you. All proceeds are going to
RAM. THURSDAY 28 MAY

The Board accepted the new Club Constitution and By Laws drawn ROTARY MEETING VIA ZOOM -
up by Trish Smyth, Roy Seager and James Glenwright. This is a PHIL WHEATLEY, YOUTH SUICIDE
triennial event initiated by Rotary International and it is always hard
work to realign our Club to the new rules set down by RI. Trish, Roy THURSDAY 4 JUNE

ROTARY MEETING VIA ZOOM -
We had a very interesting ZOOM Presidents Meeting with DG Shia PAUL LASKY, ASTRO PHYSICS,
where we had the RI President Mark Maloney join us on ZOOM. He BLACK HOLES COLLIDING
spoke to us for about 20 minutes and took a number of questions
from the floor.
With the Board’s approval the Marketeers are hard at work looking
