* Students will be called back to work with Mrs. Mascho for small, guided reading groups, based on student
needs.
* Students that are not working with Mrs. Mascho or Mrs. Warriner will work around the room in a
comfortable spot on work that is designed to meet their needs.
* Students will also work on their writing journals (themed by month)
* If all work is complete for the day as needed, students will be allowed to make a learning choice (Math or
Reading Eggs) on the computer or a STEM choice project.

Story, “ Snow is Falling” by Franklyn Branley
Each Day, read the story to the students. You can also go online to have someone different
read to the students.

11:10-11:15 Phonics Dance: Pick 3-4 students to be the pointers for the phonics dance. Students stand
around the room to participate.
As we walk down the hall to lunch- review short and long vowels and practice counting to 120.
Students will use the bathroom by the gym to wash hands/ go to the bathroom as needed.
Pass out lunch cards.
LUNCH- 11:20-11:50
11:50-12:10 Use the bathroom at end of the hall- stop as a group.
Show and Tell after the kids are dressed to go outside. Schedule for Show and Tell by couch and by Mrs.
Mascho’s computer.
12:10-12:40 Recess (make sure kids are dressed appropriately and borrow gloves, boots, and snow pants as needed from end room)

Pick students up by Mrs. Appel’s room at the end of recess. Hand up snow clothes on clothespins in the
back of the room. Boots are kept in cubbies. Make sure kids that borrow put them in end room.

12:40-1:15 Phonemic Awareness/ Making Words/ Phonics Work/ Sight Words


Use the Haggerty Series, Week 17, and complete skills for the given day. Written right out for you. Will have to flip the
page 3 times. The students will sit back by the gray couch to complete. Sometimes sight words/ or ABC cards needed.

I have early bus- check in clipboard by the door. Check all student in, have them stand up
when called. Mrs. Schickling with me to help. Grab Trinity students/ 1 of Mrs. Salada’s
students at her door and walk down to Mrs. Appel’s area. Stay with students until they are
taken outside.
