coefficient of friction between 4 kg block and ground is 0.6. Two force F1 10N and
F2 20N are applied on the blocks as shown in the figure. Calculate the frictional force
between 4 kg block and ground (Assume initially the tension in the string was just zero

How will the level of the oil-water interface change after the whole of ice melts? What
will be the change in the total level of liquid in the vessel? (The oil is poured such that
piece of ice is just submerged).
A)Level of oil water interface rises whereas the overall fluid level falls

(PARAGRAPH TYPE)
This section contains 3 Paragraph of questions. Each paragraph has 2 multiple choice questions based on
a paragraph. Each question has 4 choices A), B), C) and D) for its answer, out of which ONLY ONE IS correct.
Marking scheme: +3 for correct answer, 0 if not attempted and -1 in all other cases.
Paragraph for Question Nos. 31 & 32
An aqueous solution contains mixture of two inorganic salts, when treated with dilute
HCl, doesn’t give any precipitate but when H2S gas is passed into the same solution
gives a precipitate (P) and filtrate (Q). The precipitate (P) was found to dissolve in hot
HNO3 forming a blue solution (R). The filtrate(Q) gives a precipitate (S) with H2S in an
ammonical medium. The precipitate (S) in aqua regia forms a green solution (T) which
forms a red precipitate upon addition of ammonical dimethyl glyoxime (dmg).
32. If excess of aqueous KI is added to the mixture of the salts, the principal forms of
cations in this final mixture is:
A) PbI2 (s), Ni2+ (aq) B) CuI(s), Ni 2 (aq)
