Where Regions Currently Stand
Reopening
The Capital Region has
identified its tracing army
383 tracers needed,
430 have been identified.

Tracers are being trained

today in preparation for
the Capital Region entering
Phase 1 tomorrow.
Long Island

Great Progress:

During our worst days, just weeks ago, an

average of 100 residents of Long Island
lost their life each day. Today, it is an
average of 13.
Update on Elective Surgeries

elective surgery and ambulatory care.

Hospital Visitation Pilot
• GNYHA and HANYS are implementing a 2-week
pilot program in 16 hospitals across the state to
allow increased visitations for family members
and loved ones.
• As part of the pilot, visits are
time-limited and visitors are
provided and must wear PPE
and are subject to
symptom and temperature checks.

SPORTS TEAMS
Memorial Day
Important American Tradition
Memorial Day

• The State will allow ceremonies

with 10 people or less, up to
local governments.
• Vehicle parades in honor of
veterans.
New York State is doing everything

Going forward we need a

SMART federal response to
accelerate our path forward.
Americans are being smart

a federal government that

acts as smart as the people who
elected it.
The Americans First Law

If government bails out corporations they

cannot pocket the money and layoff
workers.
Washington funded
businesses and corporations.

Now fund
state and local governments.
Hospitals
Police
Firefighters
School teachers
Food banks
Washington must show the same
concern for American workers that
they showed for American
corporations.
Federal aid to states is not
a red vs. blue issue.

Governor Hogan and I are calling on

Congress to pass $500 billion in state fiscal relief.
The House passed a bill that includes:
• $500B for states, $375B for locals
• Medicaid funding for the most vulnerable
• Increases SNAP food assistance
• 100% FEMA federal assistance
• Testing funding
• Repeals SALT
Now, the Senate
must act.
Vaccine

Developing a vaccine would be

FDA expediting BUT make sure now that

pharmaceutical corporations release rights to
provide for immediate widespread distribution.
Vaccine

Vaccine must be
immediately available to
ALL.
Last Point

The world is different today.

Government is important again.
It matters, again.
