Subject: Graduate Loan Provision for Tuition Fee Payment
for Graduate Students of 2019 Academic Year, Mahidol University

Faculty of Graduate Studies aims at providing grants, funded by revenues from Faculty of
Graduate Studies, for faculty members who are actively involved in graduate programs and wish to
participate in research/ academic presentations abroad, Fiscal Year B. E. 2562. Their criteria and
procedures for application are as follows:

1. Objectives
Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University has its aim to favor those students facing
the financial problem for the tuition fee payment to Mahidol university. The faculty then has
allocated the sum of money as the graduate loan for the tuition fee payment for those graduate
students of Mahidol university of the 2019 academic year.

2. Qualification of the applicants with the right to apply

2.1 Applicant is the graduate student of Mahidol university under coordination of Faculty
of Graduate Studies at all levels and in all years who needs the graduate loan for the tuition fee
payment to Mahidol university (the first year graduate student with the year code as 62 has the right
to apply for the graduate loan starting from the second semester onwards.)
2. 2 Various payments of the applicant to the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol
university must not be overdue.
2.3 Applicant must be verified through the written document from the Chair of the
Program Executive Committee and the main advisor in the program the applicant is studying.

3. Amount of Graduate Loan


Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University sets that the applicant is able to apply for
the true amount of money that will be paid for the tuition fee as well as for the registration.
Nonetheless, the amount of money must not exceed 25,000 Thai baht (Twenty Five Thousand Thai
Baht).

4. Detail of Application
Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol university sets the period for the graduate loan application
and that for the closing date for the acceptance of the application form and related evidences for the
graduate loan of the 2019 academic year as follow.

4.1 The graduate loan applicant can download the graduate loan application form at
https://graduate.mahidol.ac.th/thai/?p=scholarship and the GR.SS.06 (the graduate loan application
form) must be completely filled out with the approval from the main advisor and presented to the
chairman of the program executive committee along with the application documents as mentioned
in the application form. The application form along with the related documents can be submitted
at Graduate Student Affair Section, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University (Salaya campus)
and/or at all Graduate Studies Branches within the set time period (if the set date is exceeded,
Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University shall not consider any applications.)
4.2 Documents attached for the application are as follow.
- graduate loan applicant background
- photocopies of the course registration document and the notified tuition fee
document of the graduate loan applicant
4.3 Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University will announce the list of those approved
applicants for the graduate loans and will inform about the interview date for the graduate loan via
https://graduate.mahidol.ac.th/thai/?p=scholarship
4.4 Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University will consider only the applicant who is
fully qualified based on the qualification in item 4.3 and those who pass the interview with the
graduate loan committee as well as the consideration of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol
University which is regarded as the final judgement without any appeal.
4.5 Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University will announce the list of those approved
applicants via https://graduate.mahidol.ac.th/thai/?p=scholarship

5. Graduate Loan Contract- Making
5.1 The approved applicant for the graduate loan must make the graduate loan contract and
submit the graduate loan contract along with the related documents at Graduate Student Affair
Section, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University (Salaya campus) based on the set time
period.
5.2 If the approved applicant for the graduate loan does not make the graduate loan contract
with Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University based on the set time period without prior
notification, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University will automatically take that such
applicant disclaims his or her right to get the graduate loan.

6. Getting the Graduate Loan, Payment, and Installment Payment


6.1 Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University will conduct the payment for the
approved applicant through the money transfer to Siam Commercial Bank Account (Public
Company), Saving Account of the branches of the bank within Bangkok Metropolis and its peripheral
area as notified by the approved applicant.
6.2 The approved applicant must pay the money back to Faculty of Graduate Studies,
Mahidol University within 6 months through the installment payment in the same amount every
month and within the 5th of the month based on the following payment.
First Semester September 2019 – February 2020
Second Semester February 2020 – July 2020
6.3 In case that the approved applicant pays later than the 5th of the month, s/he must pay
for the fine for 200 Thai baht a day (except if the 5th falls on the public holiday, the payment can
be made the following day.)
6.4 For the installment payment of the graduate loan, the approved applicant who cannot
pay back to the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University within the set time period and needs
to have the installment payment, s/he must notify the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol
University in the written form and mention the reasons for the instalment payment and clearly
mention the date for paying the money back via the main advisor and the chairman of the program
executive committee.

7. Terms of Graduate Loan Receival
In case that the approved applicant must stop or drop out from the study during the
semester when s/he is receiving the graduate loan with any reason, the approved applicant must
pay the money back to the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University within the time period
set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University.
