1. PURPOSE

1.1 The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19 as a pandemic on 12th March 2020. This was
due to the increase in the number of cases reported around the world. One of the measures to reduce the impact of
this pandemic is to practice social distancing.

1.2 Social distancing is one of the workplace mitigation measures that strongly recommended during Covid-19
pandemics. Social distancing can reduce virus transmission by increasing physical distance or reducing frequency of
congregation in socially dense community settings at workplaces.

1.3 This guideline may be used as a basis for social distancing during this period of time. Everyone is advised to
keep up to date with the latest developments and advice issued by the Ministry of health.

2.0 POLICIES

2.1 This SOP is need to implement to all employees, visitors, contractors and anyone else in GBS@Mayang due to
many of your employees those are working in this building may have concerns regarding their potential for exposure to
the virus and the steps are taking to ensure their well-being.

2.2 Any company are those are operating during this period need to provide face mask and self-sanitizer for their
own employee(s). For this moment landlord only provided hand soap for all restroom and will increase frequency for
common area and restroom cleanliest.

3.0 DEFINITION

3.1 Social distancing at workplace is a plan that contains information on the types social distancing at common
area. Control measures that are provided in designated place and includes floor marks, notices and pamphlets have
been put up in strategic places such as entrances at lobbies, restrooms, corridor, lift, escalator, prayers room and front
desk for registration to create awareness on the seriousness of this COVID-19 virus. List of names PDCSU management
and security on duties and responsibilities of designated responders during and after operating hours and other
relevant information.

4.0 MANAGEMENT GUIDELINES FOR WORKPLACES

4.1 In view of this MOH recommends social distancing measures at workplace as follows:

a) Encourage employees to stay home and work from home if not necessary to attend at workplace.
b) All employers need to ensure their employees, visitors, contractors and anyone else in GBS@Mayang to follow
this guideline and temperature checking/screening should be done before allowed them start working.
c) Maintain social distance 1 meter at all time in common area such as entrances at lobbies, restrooms, corridor,
lift, escalator, prayers room (limited 4 for person to pray at one time) and front desk for registration.
d) Both passenger lift (Otis elevator) and (Mitsubishi elevator) will be temporary closed to avoid long queue as
limited social distancing capacity and only one single entry that fulfilled MITI requirement.
e) One single entry to have temperature check, hand sanitizing and wearing face mask before enter in this
building.
f) Employees using EXIT door near PDCSU office during lunch (11:30am-12:30pm) and after office (4:30pm –
6:30pm). Other time using turnstile
g) Wear face mask all the time during office hours.
h) Follow floor direction tape on such as entrances at lobbies, restrooms, corridor, lift (for authorise person only),
escalator, prayers room and front desk for registration and keep practising social distancing.
i) Going to upstairs, please use the escalator. Before step up on the escalator, follow escalator flow and keep
social distancing 1 metre, don't step close to the person in front and allow three step gap before stepping on
the escalator.
j) When going to downstairs, use the spiral staircase at both wings. Please queue in single line and follow the
flow direction to maintain social distancing. Strictly not allowed to going to upstairs using the spiral staircase.

k) If employees develop symptoms like fever, dry cough or shortness of respiratory air breathing at workplace,
avoid contact with fellow employees and inform employers (for screening/refer to nearest clinic)
l) Encourage no shake hand policy.
m) Increasing physical space between workers at the worksite (1 metre apart).
n) To ensure limited in-person in the meeting room, maintain your social distance. Recommended to using a
method online video conference.
o) Employee’s area allowed food delivery at designated place. Plastic/containers after meal thrown into bins.
p) Employees are encouraged to take their meals at their own desk.
q) Avoid congregating in workplace.
r) Avoid large work-related gatherings (e.g., staff meetings, after-work functions).
s) Employers are advice to avoid non-essential work at workplace.
t) Smoking zone temporary will be closed until further notice.

As part of the requirements stated by MITI, for the common areas (entrances at lobbies, restrooms, corridor, lift,
escalator, prayers room and front desk for registration) PDCSU will helps to ensure compliances standard operation
procedure (SOP) to cleanliest the common shared area. E.g. Spiral staircase, lift, escalator rail, elevators,
door handles, handrails, lobby area, restroom and etc. (Minimum 3 times daily)

Please convey to your staff of the above Office Flow and Social Distancing requirements. Our PDCSU Staff at
GBS@Mayang will provide assistance and cooperation whenever required.

5.0 CONTROL MEASURE

All this control measure and action taken by PDCSU to seek your full cooperation in our effort to jointly provide a safe
and healthy working environment for all in GBS@Mayang.

Maintain social distance 1 meter at all time and follow direction in common area such as entrances at lobbies,
restrooms, corridor, lift (only for authorise person), escalator, prayers room and security post for registration.

Only one single entry to have temperature check, hand sanitizing and wearing face mask before enter in this building.

Temperature checking/screening should be done at the single entry and wear face mask before are allowed to enter in
this building and keep wash your hand/use sanitizer.

Practise Social Distancing at restroom

For going to upstairs, please use the escalator. Before step up on the escalator, follow escalator flow and keep social
distancing 1 metre, don't step close to the person in front and allow three step gap before stepping on the escalator.

Going to downstairs, use the spiral staircase at both wings. Please queue in single line and follow the flow direction to
maintain social distancing. Strictly not allowed to going to upstairs using the spiral staircase.

Social distancing at prayers room Male & Female, maximum 4 people are allowed to pray at one time.

Employees using EXIT door near PDCSU office during lunch (11:30am-12:30pm) and after office (4:30pm – 5:30pm).
Other time using turnstile
