I. OBJECTIVES
After this discussion the students will be able to:

a. identify the different degrees of comparison;


b. express their idea by using the degrees of comparison through a written activity; and
c. know the importance of the degrees of comparison in their daily lives.

2. Review
The Teacher will ask the following questions:
 Who can tell me what is adjective?
 What are the kinds of adjective?
 Give me a sentence using adjective.

3. Motivation

 The Teacher will: provide three phrases with underline words.


 The teacher will instruct the students:
A. Identify which is the right order to the degrees of comparison
 The teacher will process the students’ answers.

 Presentation
 Degrees of comparison – Adjective change in form when it
shows comparison.
 Examples:
o The empire state building is the highest skyscraper.
o The chicken is faster than the dog.

A. ACTIVITY

“who is –er and the –est”

 The teacher will divide the class into two groups.


 Each group will be instructed to give five (5) positive degrees together with its
comparative and superlative equals.
 The students will be given three (3) minutes to do the task.

Criteria: Correctness of the words – 15
