Flow Rate Projections

The following flow rate projections are taken from the Pumping Stations Inventory:

YEAR PDWF MDWDF PWWF

1997 1.50 MGD 1.91 MGD 14.39 MGD

2035 1.73 MGD 2.25 MGD 21.00 MGD

PDWF: Peak Dry Weather Flow (daily maximum in dry season)

MDWDF: Maximum Dry Winter Day Flow (diurnal peak plus infiltration)
PWWF: Peak Wet Weather Flow (once every 20 years)

When this was written, the station was being renovated and all pumps replaced. A
temporary bypass pump was connected as backup to the piping which will be used for
the District’s Cornell Bypass Pump when the renovation is completed. The schematic at
the end of this section shows the site layout and piping as it will be after the renovation.
Bypass Pumping Information

Overview:

The portable Bypass Pump used at Pump Station #12 is normally stored there and
connected unless it is being used at another station. A similar pump is stored at Pump
Station #7, but it has been removed from its trailer to increase suction head. Either of
these pumps can be used at Pump Station #3.

Instructions:

Before starting
the pump, push
the Tattle Reset.
Then push the
START button.
