Contact Tracing
New York State, in partnership with Bloomberg
Philanthropies and the Bloomberg School of
Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, has
developed a comprehensive online curriculum to
train potential contact tracers.
Contact Tracing

Today we are making our contract tracing training

curriculum available at no cost to all states to speed
the process of creating contact tracing programs.
Small business is a priority!
Small Businesses Need Help

Small businesses are the engine of our economy

representing over 90% of New York businesses
but face the greatest barriers to recovery.
Small Businesses Need Help

more than 100,000

small businesses
have shut permanently
since the pandemic
Small Businesses Need Help
Minority-owned businesses are especially at risk
and receive less in federal relief.
Today, we are launching the
$100+ million New York Forward Loan Fund,
providing flexible and affordable loans
to help small businesses, focusing on MWBEs,
that did not receive federal COVID-19 assistance.
NY Forward Loan Fund: Target Borrowers

New York State will take a smart, targeted

approach for distributing these loans, focusing on
businesses with 20 or fewer employees and
less than $3 million in gross revenues.

As we begin to look ahead,
we have to remain vigilant.
We are still learning about COVID-19.

The more we learn, the more the facts

change.
Now COVID-19 came from Europe, not China

Now antibodies immunity

Now children may be affected

And now infected surfaces may not be a major source

of transmission
Now the main sources of
transmission is airborne.
Wear a mask.
Mask is mandatory:
• When riding on public transportation systems
• When using private transportation carriers and for-hire
vehicles
• All operators of public systems, private carriers, and
for-hire vehicles must wear a mask at all times
• When in public and within six feet of another person
Smart is
Up to you.
Up to us.
Wear a Mask
On May 5, we launched a contest asking
New Yorkers to create and share a video
explaining why New Yorkers should
wear a mask in public.

The winning video will be used as a

Public Service Announcement.
