ADC200 Application Delivery Essentials

Course Overview
This 5-day solution-focused class offers an introduction to the Riverbed® Stingray® Application Delivery Controller
solution with hands-on installation, configuration, and reporting experience using the Stingray Traffic Manager,
Stingray Aptimizer and Stingray Application Firewall solution with in-depth, hands-on experience with TrafficScript™.

Audience
This course is specifically designed for Riverbed® customers and resellers/partners involved in the design or
deployment of the Riverbed® Stingray® product family. Students attending this class are expected to have a basic
understanding of servers, networking and applications but are not required to have a comprehensive background in
application delivery, web content optimization (WCO) or web application security. For students who only need to
perform day-to-day operational support and reporting, we recommend Riverbed® University On-Demand Training.

Technical Pre-Requisites

TCP/IP Networking
» Working knowledge of IP addressing and subnets
» Conceptual understanding of public and private application hosting
» Exposure to load balancing and server pools
» Understanding of application protocols (HTTP, FTP, etc)

Website Structure
» Conceptual understanding of HTML web page structure
» Understanding of CSS and Image Sprites is helpful
» Background in Web Applications is Helpful
» Background in Programming Syntax is Helpful (not required)
» Exposure to Web Application Security Vulnerabilities is helpful

Servers
» Conceptual understanding of x86 hardware
» Conceptual understanding of IIS & Apache Web Servers is helpful
