Our lesson for today is all about General Art
Concepts of South Asia.
The countries belong to South Asia are India,
Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Afghanistan,
the Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
Again, what are the countries that belong to
South Asia? The countries belong to South Asia are
India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan,

Buddhist art is the most known art in Asia. It is

Last is the swastika.
Swastika represents? It represents good fortune sir!

The swastika or sauwastika is a geometrical
figure and an ancient religious icon in the
cultures of Eurasia. It is used as a symbol of
divinity and spirituality in Indian religions,
especially Hinduism. In the Western world, it
was a symbol of auspiciousness and good luck.
Auspiciousness means showing or suggesting The dharma wheel, lotus, triratna, trishula,
that future success is likely propitious. vajra, and swastika sir!
Again class what are the symbolic icons that
depicts the images of Buddha?

The earliest representations of buddha in arts
are only parts of his body. The footprint of
buddha recorded as first century artifact

two symbols on it.
