Curfá: Chorus:
Ó, mo dhreoilín, Oh, my wren,
Ó, mo dhreoilín, Oh, my wren,
Ite ag an gcat, Eaten by the cat,
Fuil ar a smut, Blood on its snout,
'S gan fágthaí a'm ach cnáimhín. And I'm left with only a little bone.
Ite ag an gcat, Eaten by the cat,
Fuil ar a smut, Blood on its snout,
'S gan fágthaí a'm ach cnáimhín. X2 And I'm left with only a little bone. X2

Dúidín dáidín, Dúidín dáidín,

An ruidín deas a chaill mé, The nice little thing that I lost,
Go lige Dia na nGrásta May the God of grace allow,
Go bhfaighidh mé arís é. Me to get him again.
