I. Objectives:
By the end of lesson, students will be able to:
- Remember and use effectively vocabulary related to the topic “Artificial Intelligence”
- Talk about the risks of artificial intelligence
- Express their own opinion to other people about the risks of artificial intelligence
II. Time: 45 minutes

III. Teaching material(s): English 12 Student’s book

IV. Teaching aid(s): Realia, projector, video clip, flashcard, handout, pictures …

V. Anticipated problem(s) and solution(s):


- Problems:
o The class is crowed, therefore, speaking lesson may make a bit noise
o Some students distracted and do not pay attention in the lesson
- Solutions:
o Teacher invite students to join the activities and speak more slowly.

Activity 2: Teaching vocabulary


- Teacher introduces to students some words in the
reading text by Guessing Game Group work
- List of words: evolution , consequence,   effort,
destruction, form, threat,  technology, mankind,
risk
- Guessing Game:
- Divide the class into two teams: Human and
Robot
- Teacher show the scramble words with some
pictures describe words and their definitions
- Ask 2 teams to take turns to guess the words
- If a team cannot guess the word, another team will
have turn to answer
- Teacher give the right words and pronunciation
- Let’s students practice the words
Practice
- After introducing the new words, teacher call any
two students from 2 teams come to the board
- Show only the words on the screen, let’s them
touch to the word which teacher speak
- Call some pairs to practice
- Award the winner team after the lesson
Activity 3: Exercise 2 - Individual
- Teacher asks students to read the text and guess work
the words that can be fill in each gap - Pair work
- After that, let’s students share their answer in
pairs.
- Teacher checks answer as a class

- Let’s student work in groups of four - Group work
- Based on the reading text in exercise 2 and
exercise 3, let’s students make a conversation
between The BBC and Professor Stephen
Hawking
- Encourages students add their own ideas
- Teacher walk around and observe the students
- After that, teacher picks random some groups to
present to the class

10 Post- Activity 6. Debate between human and robot - Group work


min speaking - Divide class into 2 teams as the previous activity:
Human and Robot
- From the point of view of SUPPORT and
OPPOSE, each team will draw lots who will
support and who will protest.
- After that, each team have time to discuss and
then present their views and opinions on issues:
“Using artificial intelligence technology instead
of real teachers”
- The debate has two rounds, presenters from each
team has about 1 minutes to speak their ideas.
