When I started this DipEd thing,
I hear all them lecturers was talking…
About how this thing it going to be hard
And I say I had to be real mad
To do this nine months of studying
Just to get a pay increase I counting
I say to myself I going to try
And if I don’t get through, I will surely cry.
During the two semesters in class
We learnt about them theorist in the past.
How we could apply it in our schools
I tell you this thing really cool
Now that we learnt about all of this stuff
We going back to school with no fuss
To teach all them children is the plan
So they could become productive man and
woman
Education Foundation was the key,
We learnt about Bruner, Thorndike, Vygotsky.
Issues in education we tackle
Just to put them children on d mantle
As we continued with our course
All we learnt fall in place with no force
I tell you them lecturers real good
Everything they teach I real understood.
Field days in DipEd was really fun
It so sad to know that it done
Our colleagues they did try their best
To deliver lessons that you couldn’t test
When they stand up infront the class to teach
The highest levels of quality they could reach
I learnt so much from the teachers them
Now I wish this DipEd thing wouldn’t end.
Pedagogy is a Process
Boy this thing is a lot of stress
To complete this portfolio
If I could finish in time I really don’t know.
All these lesson plans we doing
Integration technology, Scaffolding
We doing all this for the students
And it now starting to make a lots of sense.
Now in this pandemic time that we in
All them parents they complaining
The students at home and aint getting no work
But the teachers trying and that aint no joke
I have to say thank you for all the training
That I get while doing this DipEd thing
I could now teach the children at home
Using computer and not only the phone.
