Everlywell has the capacity, technology, and experience to get Americans tested

• Sample processing by a CLIA-certified lab partner operating under the FDA’s emergency use
authorization guidelines (48 hour turnaround time once at lab)
• Telehealth diagnosis with an independent physician included for those with positive results. Positive
results are reported to all mandated state and federal agencies.

Everlywell’s COVID-19 Offering

Real-time rt-PCR (reverse transcription-PCR) test that uses

nasopharyngeal swab and is run at one of our 3rd party CLIA
certified labs operating under the FDA’s EUA guidelines.

This is the gold-standard methodology as recommended by the CDC and is being

used in hospitals for the majority of COVID-19 diagnostic testing today. The FDA
guidance has set minimum criteria for test performance including defining criteria
for setting limits of detection as well as for clinical evaluation.

FDA defines the acceptance criteria for the clinical evaluation performance as 95%
agreement at 1x-2x the limit of detection (LoD), and 100% agreement at all other
concentrations of the positive viral RNA specimens and for all negative specimens.
Because contrived samples are used for test development, this translates into a
specificity of close to 100%.

Overall Market Offerings for COVID-19 Testing
Serology Tests (also antibody tests)
These tests use serological methods to
examine antibodies (IgM and IgG) in the
blood, which can identify individuals who are
infected and on the course to recover from
COVID-19 and/or individuals who have
already recovered from COVID-19. If IgM is
positive, and the individual has not been
tested with PCR test before, would need the
PCR test for confirmation.
Benefits: Cheaper, fast turn around time of a
15-45 min.
Potential downsides: Lower sensitivity/
specificity, increased false positive/negative
rates compared to PCR test. Cannot confirm
presence or absence of the SARS-CoV-2
virus, only the body's immune response to the
virus if exposed to virus with adequate,
healthy immune function of the individual
FDA status: EUA framework for use with
HCPs
Point of Care Tests
These tests are useful for initial screening to
see who should receive confirmatory lab
testing using PCR (the "gold standard" for
COVID-19 testing).
Benefits: High capacity, rapid results, less
expensive
Potential downsides: Accuracy still being
vetted (lower sensitivity/specificity, increased
false positive/negative rates); more relevant
at certain stages of the life of the virus than
others. Not all medical professionals consider
