Q.2 (a) Management is the process of reaching organizational goals by working with and 08
through people and other organizational resources. Briefly explain the functions of
management, and also outline the relationship among the four management functions.

(b) Organizations do not operate in vacuum, environment does affect an organization’s 06

describe the three levels of marketing environment.

What are the issues associated with “managing global teams” and why it is important
for managers to understand the social networks and social relationships of work
groups?

(b) Frederick W. Taylor pioneered the scientific management movement. Outline the 04
principles of scientific management.

Q.5 (a) Lean production is a manufacturing methodology originally developed for Toyota, and 09
it is also known as Toyota Production System. What is lean production? Discuss
benefits it may provide to a company that employs it.

(b) Total Productive Management (TPM) emphasizes on productive maintenance to be 06


carried out by all employees through small group activities. Describe the goals of TPM
and mention at least two benefits of it.

brands as four choices when it comes to developing brands. Discuss each choice.

(b) Success of any organization largely depends on performance of its employees. What 08
do you understand by the term “performance management system”? Briefly describe
the various performance appraisal methods which can be used to evaluate the
performance of employees.
