 How to install the Admiralty digital
catalogue ADC?
• With the AVCS box (9 base cd’s with ENC
charts), there is also an “utilities CD”
delivered.
– On this utilities CD you will find the ADC.
– Follow the set-up and you will have the ADC
installed .
 FUNCTIONALITIES

* you will find different tabs at the bottom of the screen:
Select the tab +++paper charts+++

* click on the little binocular

* Select “All Attributes”

 Two ways to select the ENC’s
via FOLIO’s or via ENC Units

• Best is to select the ENC’s via ENC units, so
you select only the charts that you really need
instead of full folio’s.
Example: you can select ATLEU transit folio, but if you only need general and coastal charts for the Belgian Coast, this selection is
too much... Then you better switch to ENC units mode and select only the charts you need

chart selection
• We can save basket file (.txt)
• We can load .txt files into the digital catalogue:
• We can open .txt files into an excel file:

!! If you have a chart list that you want to visualise in the digital catalogue, you can
Make a list in EXCEL simular to the above mentioned excel file.
Once you added the charts, you save the excel file as a .txt file and you will be able
to load it into the ADC again etc.

 Own coverage + expiry dates
• When you receive your permits by email in the zip folder, you can save the
permit.txt file that is located in the MASTER folder.
• This permit.txt file can be loaded into the ADC:
– You go to file -> load permit file
• You select the permit.txt file that you have extracted and
saved on your computer -> click open
• Then you must select where the ADC has to load the
permit.txt file: you must always select
– ENC Units (Admiralty Vector Chart Service)
• Do not select AVCS or other targets this will give wrong information

• Click ok the following window will appear:

Your inventory is now loaded, you can access the information by clicking on
the shopping basket, and to click SHOW INVENTORY.
Here you will be able to see your holdings and the expiry date
