If you are unable to keep this appointment, you must notify us as soon as possible. After the deadline
for changing or cancelling an appointment indicated above, applicants who fail to keep their
appointment will be charged a $22.70 fee.

Payment methods

The following payment methods are accepted:

• cheques (bring two cheques: one for the test fee and another for issuing the licence)
• debit card
• cash

Required identification documents

You must bring one of the following pieces of identification:

• your Class 5 learner's licence with photo

• your paper learner's licence and your identification card issued by the SAAQ for the test (you must show
this card if the SAAQ has issued one to you)
• your probationary licence with photo
• your driver's licence with photo if you hold another class of licence

If you do not have any of the above pieces of identification, you will have to present two of the following
identification documents, including one with photo:

• your Canadian passport

• your Health Insurance Card
• your certificate of Canadian citizenship
• the original of your birth certificate issued by the Directeur de l'état civil (Registrar of Civil Status) after
January 1, 1994
Vehicle

The SAAQ does not provide a vehicle for the road test. The vehicle that you use to take your test must be in good
mechanical condition.
You must bring the following inside the service centre, for verification:

• the vehicle's valid registration certificate signed by the owner

• proof of valid liability insurance for the vehicle
• the vehicle's lease contract or rental receipt, in the case of a short-term rental

If you fail to go to your appointment without having cancelled or changed it by the deadline provided above, you
