Name of Work:- Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of outdoor Signalling gears for modification of existing
RRI at Varanasi station to suit 25 KV AC Traction on UTR – MGS section of Northern Railway.

i(a) Excavation and refilling of trench to the 6000 P.Mtr.

level of ground with rammed earth so as
not to form a drain, 0.4 Mtr wide and x 1.0
Mtr deep on both side of the station along
side track. It also includes clearance of
roots of trees and bushes.

i(b) Excavation and refilling of trench to the 15510 P.Mtr.

level of ground with rammed earth so as
not to form a drain, 0.4 Mtr wide and x 1.0
Mtr deep along side track in Station
section in Varanasi yard in normal soil.

ii) Excavation and refilling of trench 0.4 Mtr 100 P.Mtr.

wide and x 1.0 Mtr deep from bottom of rail
sleeper across the track. Earth shall be
rammed so as not to form drain. This
includes removal and refilling of ballast
and restoration of surface under normal
traffic condition.

iii) Digging and making brick channel 0.4 Mt 315 P.Mtr.

wide x 0.3 M deep on metalled / cemented
platform with collar for accomodating for
cover slabs on channel after cable laying
and filling the top of the cover slab with
seived soil and repair of platforn in original
condition. The top of the cover slab on
channel shall be 5 Cm below the platform
level. All the materials will be supplied by
contractor.
iv) Excavation and refilling of trench 0.4 Mt. 75.83 P.Mtr.
wide and 0.8 mt. deep on pitched/stone/
brick paved surface, road crossing
/platform etc. and restoring the surface to
its original condition.

v) Supply and laying of second class bricks in 216400 Per Brick

the trench.

vi) Termination of all cores of all types of out 4950 Per core
door cables after its laying on both end.
This also includes preparation of test
report for core to core and core to earth on
prescribed proforma for each core of the
cable separately. This also includes
dressing and lacing of the cable on both
ends. Proforma for testing and materials
for lacing to be supplied by contractor.

vii) Fabrication, supply and fixing of cable 782 Per

marker of 1:3:6 concrete. Marker

13 Supply & installation of Track circuit 200 No.

gauge tie plate, stretcher bar and switch
extension bracket, d) Choke B type as per
IRS-S-65/83 or latest, e) Track lead
junction boxes. The items from a) to e)
shall be supplied as per site requirement.
Note:- Block/ Glued joint will be supplied &
installed by Railways.
