1. The First 9 Months: First Year Teacher Full

Documentary- ​I feel as this assignment was really beneficial

to me because it made me think of a lot of activities that I want

to use in my classroom. It also helped me realize that you can’t

prepare for everything that is going to happen and that

classroom management is very important. It helped give me

ideas of things that I want to avoid doing as a teacher such as not keeping the students at

their desk for the whole time and allowing them to move around.

2. Dream Classroom- ​This benchmark to create our own

classrooms was a lot of fun and really got me thinking about

what I want in my classroom. This will help me in the future

because I will already have an idea of what I want my

classroom to look like so it should be very easy for me to

design it.
3. Unit Plan- ​The unit plans we made for one of our

benchmarks was another great project. I got to experience

what it really is like to plan out a whole unit and the thought

that goes into creating lesson plans. This will help me out in

the future because now I already have an idea of the amount

of different topics that need to be covered in a unit plan.

4. Bloom’s Taxonomy- ​Making this foldable for Blooms is

really helpful and I have already referenced it so much

throughout the year. This helps me to come up with higher

level wording to use in my lesson plans. This will help me in

the future to make sure that I continue to use higher level

words which I can use for interviews as it will help to impress

the schools.

5. Lesson Planning with S’mores- ​This activity was a really

fun way to learn how to make lesson plans. It explained

everything really well in terms of a s’more and then related it

to lesson plan terms. I will use this in the future in case I need

to reference it for the structure that I should follow when

making my lesson plans.

6. Accommodations vs. Modifications- ​This worksheet is super

helpful because there are a lot of different learners out there

and it is important as teachers to give them whatever they

need to succeed. I will use this in the future to help me come

up with ways to adjust what I am doing to make sure

everyone is comfortable with what they have to do.

7. Classroom Management Plan- ​This worksheet is a really

nice thing to have because it allows me to plan out exactly

how I want everything to be run in my own classroom. I think

this is a great thing to have because even planning what your

process is going to be for a student who comes in late is going

to affect the way your whole day runs. If you have a plan for

everything it is easier to keep things running smoothly.

8. Stages of Development- ​For this project we learned about

different behaviorist theories. We all had our own person and

then we presented them to each other. This will help me in the

future because I can reference any of the people and their

ideas to use when I teach.

9. Ethics Under Fire: Should Teachers Be Held to a Higher

Standard?- ​This worksheet made me aware of all of the

ethical challenges there are in each scenario. For example,

outside of school as a teacher you should be positive and be an

active role in the school. This will help me in the future to

make sure I keep in mind what is expected of me as a teacher

and the appropriate way to act in different situations

10. School Security Procedures- ​This worksheet was

very interesting to be able to learn about what you

should do in case one of these things happens. This

will help me in the future to make sure I am aware

of my school’s procedures when I do become a

teacher so that I know the appropriate action that

should be taken if any of these things happen.
