{Rochester, NY June 3, 2020} On May 30, 2020, around the City of Rochester Public Safety
Building located at 185 Exchange Blvd, protestors began to set city owned vehicles on fire and destroy
city owned property. A construction trailer owned by a private construction firm was set on fire and an
office building located across the street at 144 Exchange Blvd was broken into and vandalized. As part
of the investigation into these senseless acts of violence and destruction both at the Public Safety
Building and throughout the City of Rochester, the Rochester Police Departments Major Crimes Unit
and Patrol Section Investigations has been seeking those responsible for the crimes that were
committed.
On June 3, 2020, the Rochester Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and Tactical Unit made the
following arrests in connection with the above events:
1. Nicholas Pabone, a 28 year old male from Rochester, NY. Mr. Pabone was charged with Riot in
the 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree for damage caused to a Rochester Police
vehicle. As required by NYS Law, he was issued an appearance ticket and will be arraigned on
these charges in Rochester City Court on July 9. 2020 at 9:30am.
2. Dysheika McFadden, a 26 year old male from the Town of Gates, NY. He was charged with Riot
in the 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree and Arson in the 3rd Degree for causing
damage and setting fire to a Rochester Police vehicle. Mr. McFadden was remanded to the
Monroe County Jail and will be arraigned on these charges in Rochester City Court on June 4,
2020 at 9:30am.
These two individuals were depicted in the below photographs that have previously been sent out to the
public in attempt to identify bulletins. The arrests were possible by a combination of assistance from
the public and good investigative work.
These two arrests are part of an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be filed. Additional
arrests are also forthcoming.
