My realization in our country in this time of pandemic is we are not prepared for this kind of
calamity in fact all the country around the world was surprised and was not able to take the pre-
cautionary measure before it spreads in every country and in the government all I can say is that
they are doing their best but other don’t there are just simply talk how the government was
ignorant, I think as a society we need also to do something that could help our government like
following the guidelines in implementing the ECQ or GCQ. And especially supporting our front
liners (Doctors, Nurses etc.) also the back liners which are the farmers who are the one that
supports us food in this calamity without them it is very hard for us to survive in this kind of
calamity yes the government isn’t perfect especially the president each time I watch him in the
television I can say that his doing his best he even borrowed a money from the world bank in
order to help us and despite of this I was very thankful why? Simply because compared to other
nations our cases of death is just hundredth’s but I know each day it is still continuing to
increase but the fact compared to other nations it counts in thousands and it is very alarming,
yet even though we were not able to prepare this calamity because we are Filipino people we
are resilient in every situation we undergo even we are stubborn sometimes but we help each to
overcome any obstacles or challenges that we encounter in our life we will continue to survive
and the most powerful weapon that we can use in this time and every time is prayer and having
a faith to our almighty creator .
2. In order to protect our self from this virus we must follow this safety pre-cautions
 First is know the signs
The symptoms of infection for the new coronavirus are often similar to those of other
respiratory virus infections, such as influenza symptoms can include fever, cough, or
shortness of breath. Most people will only have mild symptoms, but some can become
very sick. The means of transmission is similar; through respiratory droplets produced
when a person coughs or sneezes, or by direct physical contact with an infected person,
such as shaking hands.
 Second is keep things clean
Preventive measures are your first line of defence. The best way to protect yourself
from COVID-19 is to practice good hygiene and make this as you routine:
o Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially
after going to bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, t
sneezing.
o If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
with at least 60 percent alcohol.
o Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are very dirty
o Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
o Avoid close contact with people who are sick
o Stay home when you are sick
o Cover your cough or sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
and wash your hands. If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your
elbow, rather than into your hands
o Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
 Third is wear a cloth face mask
The government are recommending that people wear cloth face covering in public
settings. This is especially encouraged in situations where social distancing is difficult to
maintain (such as in a grocery store or pharmacy) and in areas of significant community-
based transmission.
 Lastly is avoid contact
The recommended maintaining distance is approximately 6 feet from other in public
places since respiratory droplets produced by coughing or sneezing. If you are
symptomatic and have tested as positive for COVID-19 but do not required
hospitalization, you should stay in a specific “sick room” and away from the other
people in your home as much as possible.

3. I learned in the history of volleyball is that it was originally called “ mintonette” was invented in
1895 by William G. Morgan after the invention of basketball only four years before. Morgan, a
graduate of the Springfield College of the YMCA, designed the game to be a combination of
basketball, baseball, tennis and handball. In terms of rules in this game we have the following:
 6 players on the floor at any one time – 3 in the front row and 3 in back row
 Maximum of 3 hits per side
 Pints are made on every serve for winning team of rally (rall-point scoring).
 Player may not hit the ball twice in succession. (a block is not considered a hit.)
 Ball may be played off the net during a volley and on a serve.
 A ball hitting the boundary line is in.
 A ball is out if it hits an antennae, the floor completely outside the court, any of the net
or cables outside the antennae, the referee stand or pole, the ceiling above a non-
played area.
 It is illegal to catch, hold or throw the ball.
 A player cannot block or attack a serve from on or inside the 10-foot line.
 After the serve, front-line players may switch positions at the net.
 Matches are made up of sets; the number depends on level of play. 3-set matches are 2
sets to 25 points and a third set to 15. Each set must be won by two points. The winner
is the first team to win 2 sets. 5 sets matches are 4 sets to 25 points and fifth set to 15.
The team must win by 2 unless tournament rules dictate otherwise. The winner is the
first team to win three sets.
