Systematic Sampling

Alsayir (2014), explained that, systematic sampling as elements of the population are

arranged in a systematic order from which sample can be drawn in a proper way than the simple

random sampling. Systematic sampling is simple and direct method than random sampling. For

example, restaurant wants to study eating habits of their customers. They will use every fifth and

tenth customer entering to the restaurant. We can apply systematic sampling only if the

population is consistent, because sample elements are evenly distributed over the population.

Where, k is sampling interval, n is sample size and N is population size. Hence, sample interval
