1. Do you think you are ready to compete in the professional world? discuss your answer.

The professional world is a tough one. In order to fit in, one must be equipped with the resources and
skills required by it. It is undeniable to be dubbed as a world full of competition that one will encounter.
With my current situation, If I say yes to that question, it will most likely be out of my confidence, pride
and compulsive reaction. A millenial like me enjoys challenges. being put in a situation, where in, you go
hand in hand with professionals excites our inner soul. However, one must ponder that being in it comes
with great responsibilities. The requirement of such organization involves time, perspiration and effort.
There is no such thing as instant professional, so, one must undergo processes and careful honing.
Professionals worked hard to be included in such world. Which leads me to saying no. It is wise if one
knows his/her capabilities, strength and weakness and the contribution he/she can offer to that world.
In my case, I'am still a hollow ready to be filled in with knowledges and information, but not ready to
compete in the professional world. It would be too risky if I let myself be involved with it directly
without having enough experience to what i'am about to enter. As of now, I'am yet to discover things
that I can use in the future. I do not want to go to a battle with an empty hand, nor with a weapon I'am
lacking knowledge about. But, i would be ready if I'am armored with preparedness, experience, and
enough skill, then most certain future ahead of me is will be success.

2. What are your strengths in terms of communication?

Communication is a vital tool for living. learning it is a must, and being better with it is a gift. In terms of
communication, may it be oral or written, one of my strength is that I'am good at comprehensive
listening. Listening is as important as talking. but listening alone would not do justice to the speaker. it
takes comprehension to fully understand and grasp the thought of the speaker. Comprehensive listening
is more than just closing one's mouth. More than that, it is about being able to recognize the point of
the speaker. Another strength that I have is that, I always have something in mind when a speaker
opens up a topic. It is maybe caused by unconscious learning i get from my previous experiences in life.
And as I can observe myself, I'am more of an observer than a talker. When stuck in the middle of a
group conversation, I tend to be the one who is a little away from the group keenly observing and
listening to them. Those are my strength.

3. what are your weaknesses in communication?

When communicating, one of my weakness is that, I always end up experiencing mental block despite
having tons of ideas and opinions inside my head. This, then, turned me to become hesitant of
answering questions I know I'am certain about. I remember one time, during my senior high school year,
a professor was calling out student to answer his question. At that point, I was sure I have answer to his
question because it was opinionated. Instead of raising my hand to answer his question, I ended up
sitting there waiting for him to call someone. I was fortunate he called me, but unfortunate enough at
the same time. As soon as I started standing, the ideas I have in my head became blank real quick. I
immediately told my professor to repeat the question to have an ample time of getting a grasp to the
formulated answer inside my head. Instead of hitting the spot answer, I went mumbling around a circle
of single idea. The worst part is that, I ended up with a shaky hands and voice. Up until now, I still often
experience the same thing. But I always try my best to overcome it.

1. Given that most professionals do not have excellent writing skills, what do you think will happen to
most businesses or institutions? Provide concrete examples to elaborate your answer

The business world or institution runs around a diverse kind of competitors. Each having its own unique
and outstanding product that it can offer to its costumers. With competitors just right around the
corner, the chances of success would be quite rough. That is why having a professional with excellent
writing skill can be an asset to the company. However, in the case of professionals with only good
writing skills, their chances of having a good trade or business would be fifty-fifty, but not totally off.
Companies or businesses requires transaction with its customers or other companies. These
transactions then requires writing of presentation, letters, plans, etc,. For instance, I work for a certain
company with a position as secretary. I know I may not be excellent in writing, but I am also not that bad
at it. My boss then asked me to write a proposal for a project bidding with seven other companies. If I
was not excellent enough at writing proposal, then my chances getting that bid is low. Somehow, no
matter how good the idea of your project is, if not excellently written, your project would end up being
just an option. Another thing is, writing skills are important in the business world as it is a way in
communicating with your co-workers or boss. If you do not know how to write letters, then there will be
chaos in the flow of communication within the company or business. There still a place for professionals
without excellent writing skills in the world of business. Its just that everybody looks and aims for
excellent ones.

2. Among the technical skills that every professional needs to possess, choose two and discuss the
importance of polishing these skills.

All four of the mentioned technical skills are deemed important for every professionals to posses.
Although not all of us is blessed with such skills, learning and practicing it is the best way to cope up.
among the four technical skills, I think creativity and listening skills are the two most important skills to
be polished. we humans always listens with our ears. The ability to listen with the heart - not literally, is
extra special that is why i chose listening skill to be polished. Not everyone knows how to listen with
heart, and listening alone is useless if one does not know what the other is talking about. What I mean
by this is that, when someone is talking, listen with compassion, understanding, and an open mind. with
these, you are not only grasping the thought the speaker is trying to relay. you are also building
connection that the two of you can use in the future. With listening, you would be able to follow
whatever the instruction you are tasked by the higher-ups. I chose creativity because of the numbers of
competitions in the world of business. Everyone now a datys wants unique ideas and concept. having
the creativity in mind, one would be able to come up with an exceptional idea that surely everyone
would like.
