1.OVERVIEW

 YOUTH FOR CHANGE INITIATIVE is an initiative aimed in


inspire ,motivate and educate young generation from all over the world
through dialogue ,and discussions and also a successful multi-faceted
programme seeking to empower young people and connect them
with opportunities in the public and private sectors and civil society.
The programme engages youth in national dialogue, and works with
them to find or create their own employment and entrepreneurship
opportunities. It has a strong gender and technology focus.

Not only that It is Program aimed at sensitizing the Rwandan youth to


come up with innovative business ideas for job creation.  It involves
empowering communities with basic business skills on how they can
build their own life from nothing to something. It will be a platform to
bring youth together to connect, empower and educate themselves,
among other things, and that his dream is to have it grow into a
global network.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

The rate of unemployment among Rwandans youth dropped to 14.5 per


cent in February this year, down from 16 per cent in February 2018,
according to figures from the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda.

Compared to February 2017, the jobless rate of February 2019 is 2.2


percentage points lower.

According to the latest survey by NISR, among more than the 6.9 million
Rwandans who were 16 years old and above last year, 54.2 per cent of them
were in the labour force, either employed or unemployed.
At 17.1 per cent, the unemployment rate is still higher among youth than in
others where it is 13.5 per cent. The jobless rate is more rampart among the
youth where it is 18.7 per cent.

Average young people make up more than 50% of the population of


most African countries and sadly they are too often prevented from
fulfilling their potential as the change agents and social entrepreneurs we
need. to get out of this gloomy situation, there must be a realisation that
young people now and in the future can play a big role in development if
they are provided a supportive environment and opportunities . as youth
for change initiatives we ready to build an impactful thing that can help
young generations to start their pathways to the future .

Human beings learn from each other, and in this divided world, many of
our problems seem intractable. We seek to promote balance and
facilitate communication, to hear more than a single voice, a single
story. To journey together towards a deeper understanding of our shared
humanity. To approach a place of hope.
 We are privileged to work with individuals who have a passion for
exploring these questions, along with companies, universities,
government agencies, individual philanthropists and other organizations.

PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Our events will bring together participants from an unusually broad


range of backgrounds and perspectives. Includes influential leaders and
thinkers in government, business, religion and academia; those
passionately dedicated to social and environmental causes; individuals
seeking to find meaningful ways to engage; young people from all walks
of life.by motivating ,educating and inspiring them .

 Build the skills, knowledge and confidence of youth to raise


awareness, take action and work collaboratively on projects to promote
the culture of job creation
 Facilitate meaningful dialogue, enable critical thinking and
analysis of complex issues and encourage joint problem solving.
 Foster personal and emotional growth by testing boundaries and
limitations, reflecting critically on our own lives and cultures, exploring
how the choices we make affect others.
 Build strong personal connections and community among youth all
over the world
 Provide positive outlets and opportunities for youth to work to
promote the culture of self reliance and job creation .
 Create, inspire and nurture both new and existing youth-led
projects aimed at promoting the culture job creation ..

.To bring together diverse stakeholders through  working


collaboratively in taking actions that result in productive and sustainable
livelihood for youth
OBJECTIVES
 1) General Objective: The general objective of the organization is to
organize and recognize youth groups/organizations by linking them with
socio - economic opportunities available national or international wise
and specifically.
2) To provides opportunities for the youth to build their own enterprises
and create      wealth for themselves and the nation through;
                         I.      Organizing and conducting training, seminars and
workshop.
                        II.        Linking them with financial institutions for
financial support.
3) To encourages young people to join themselves so that to participate
in a wide range of activities appropriate to their age and stage of
development.
4) Encouraging diverse stakeholders in the countries to join with us to
promote youth employment through their programs and already existing
activities/initiatives
5) To participate in national and trans-national initiatives focused on
promoting youth empowerment.
6) To create a productive and self-sustaining youth population, capable
of protecting themselves and their communities against the risks of
HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Violence and drugs .
7) Mobilizing the youth to participate in environmental and natural
resource management for health, safety and increased sustainable
livelihoods
8) To help young people to gain a greater understanding and respect for
their own traditions and those of others by engaging in programs  that
reflect the principles of equality, diversity and inter dependence.
9) Participation in social welfare activities.
10) To conduct researches on youth concerned issues socially and
economically.
STRATEGIES

The following are organizational strategies/activities to accomplish our


started objectives;
A. Recognize and Organize youth groups .Through finding the youths
by insisting and advising them on the benefits of forming groups which
will enable them; 
o To develop their skills.
o To acquire loans, assets and offices to run their activities.
o To work from side to side using their technical/professional
skills for their development.
o Share their skills for better efficiency of their output.
o Easy to link with various stakeholders to find the markets at a
reasonable value for their productivity.
 B. Research and Projects. The organization will conduct and facilitate
the conduction of researches and projects related on youth issues. This
will make possible;
 
C. Partnering, Networking and become a member with other
organizations .The works towards a global approach, by seeking out
alliances with organizations inside the country and overseas that may be
willing to come forward and participate in achieving our objectives by
partnering, networking or becoming a member. The Organization
believes that by working closely with other organizations, associations,
institutions, industries, government agencies and academia nationally
and internationally will ensure that the benefits of youth progress
eventually percolate down to every single person in the society.  This
also will authorize;
 To enhance capacity to conduct research and improve training and
education through interaction.
 
 
D. Conferences, workshops, Seminars & Talks. The organization will
organise Conferences, workshops, Seminars & Talks to enable local and
neighboring Students, researchers, and youth with different professionals
& non professionals groups   to interact and share their socio-economic
ideology and other matter related to their future. This will help them;
 Support local resources (physical space, cultural institutions, and
advocacy groups)
 Draw on community expertise and personal experiences and
provide a space to talk about the things that “matter the most”
 E. Awards, Competitions & Trophies for Winners.The organization
organises competitions and gives trophies for various achievements
within the youth sphere. In a competitive environment, both at national
and international levels, it would motivate them with due recognition,
besides winning awards of attractive prize and certificates. This will also
facilitate;
a.    The need to build and upgrade technological capacity, stimulate
innovation and improve competitiveness and market access.
b.    Capacity building which is  very important in fostering
technological upgrading and improving the quality of products
c.    To become a better competitor i.e. knowing their competitors.
Knowing who are doing what allows them to pinpoint if and where they
are a falling behind. An added bonus is that, with a good amount of
competition they won’t have to make the same mistakes. 
  F. Public awareness programs/projects /activities. The organization
will enhance public awareness by promote and facilitate National
awareness Campaigns and Educational Programs on the  youth  socio-
economic development and to obtain from members and other sources
information relating to youth affairs , and to disseminate such
information amongst the public and the society by means of journals,
circulars, publications, lectures, seminars, conferences or otherwise.

MISSION
 To build an enviable forum of great young professionals and Leaders in
different fields.

To establish a universal forum where great minds meet to discuss


pertinent issues on youth Empowerment and development.

TARGETED GROUP
Our project will focus on young generation around the world aged
between 12 to 35 especially those who are in secondary schools and
universities .

the Ministry of Youth and ICT in Partnership with One UN Rwanda


embarked on a mission to not only connect its youthful population to
domestic and regional socio-economic opportunities, but to create a
platform that will serve as an easy but impactful channel for the
government to work with CSOs, entrepreneurs and the private sector
in tackling the issue of youth unemployment and exclusion,”
My generation is the generation of the 20th century and that is gone. The
generation of the 21st century starts now: work hard with vision and
determination. Then the 21st century can be more peaceful for the world.

Once you develop confidence in your own ability, you’ll be able to make a real
contribution to creating a better world.
