TALLER # 6: VERBO TO BE - NEGACION

Apreciado aprendiz, buen día, dando continuidad al tema anterior, en este documento
van a encontrar la teoría explicativa necesaria y unos ejercicios para poner en práctica lo

VERBO TO BE - NEGACION
El en taller anterior estudiamos cuales eran las formas de conjugar el verbo to be (am – is
– are) y las aplicamos en oraciones afirmativas, hoy aprenderemos la forma negativa del
verbo to be, que es la que usamos cuando queremos negar algo. Para formarla, debemos agregar
la palabra not, que es la traducción en inglés de no, después del verbo to be. Veamos unos
cuantos ejemplos:
Por lo tanto la “formula” para hacer una oración negativa usando el verbo to be es:

SUJETO AM - IS - ARE NOT COMPLEMENTO

Teniendo en cuenta que:

A. Sujeto: Es la persona animal o cosa de la que estamos hablando (nombre propio o
pronombre personal)
B. Verbo to be: que puede ser am – is o are según nuestro sujeto.
C. Negación: agregamos la palabra NOT que significa NO.
D. Complemento: es el resto de la información que queremos dar a cerca de cómo es o
está el sujeto del que estamos hablando.
EJEMPLO:

MARIA IS NOT HAPPY

(MARIA NO ESTA FELIZ)

I AM NOT SAD
(YO NO ESTOY TRISTE)
