The new state-of-the-art terminal is

with new concession stands and traveler amenities
from iconic New York institutions.

JOBS AND COMMUNITY IMPACT
✓ The new LaGuardia airport is creating 7,000 direct jobs
in construction and 7,000 indirect jobs.
✓ $1.4 billion in MWBE contracts and more than $500 million
in contracts awarded to Queens based businesses.
✓ Established Council for Airport Opportunity LGA Career Center
in Corona, in partnership with two community-based
organizations, to provide job recruitment and placement
services to minority and disadvantaged residents in
communities around the airport.
FEATURES OF THE NEW LAGUARDIA
✓ 9.2 miles of new roadways and 24 new bridges

✓ Improved traffic flow, eliminating 19 of 22 airport traffic lights

✓ Seamless access to ground transportation, including two future AirTrain stations

✓ Improved curbside experience, with separate arrivals, departures, and


dedicated HOV levels
