The Bermuda Triangle is a mythical section of the Atlantic Ocean
roughly bounded by Miami, Bermuda and Puerto Rico where dozens of
ships and airplanes have disappeared. Unexplained circumstances
surround some of these accidents, including one in which the pilots of a
squadron of U.S. Navy bombers became disoriented while flying over
the area; the planes were never found. Other boats and planes have
seemingly vanished from the area in good weather without even radioing
distress messages. But although myriad fanciful theories have been
proposed regarding the Bermuda Triangle, none of them prove that
mysterious disappearances occur more frequently there than in other
well-traveled sections of the ocean.
Bermuda Triangle or the Devil’s Triangle issue is something which
amuses everyone, the mysterious disappearance of numerous flights,
ships in the area of Bermuda Triangle still remains one of he biggest
untold mysteries in the history of the world.
Legend of the Bermuda Triangle
The area referred to as the Bermuda Triangle, or Devil’s Triangle, covers
about 500,000 square miles of ocean off the southeastern tip of Florida.
When Christopher Columbus sailed through the area on his first voyage
to the New World, he reported that a great flame of fire (probably a
meteor) crashed into the sea one night and that a strange light appeared
in the distance a few weeks later. He also wrote about erratic compass
readings, perhaps because at that time a sliver of the Bermuda Triangle
was one of the few places on Earth where true north and magnetic north
lined up.
William Shakespeare’s play “The Tempest,” which some scholars claim
was based on a real-life Bermuda shipwreck, may have enhanced the
area’s aura of mystery. Nonetheless, reports of unexplained
disappearances did not really capture the public’s attention until the 20th
century. An especially infamous tragedy occurred in March 1918 when
the USS Cyclops, a 542-foot-long Navy cargo ship with over 300 men
and 10,000 tons of manganese ore onboard, sank somewhere between
Barbados and the Chesapeake Bay. The Cyclops never sent out an SOS
distress call despite being equipped to do so, and an extensive search
found no wreckage. “Only God and the sea know what happened to the
great ship,” U.S. President Woodrow Wilson later said. In 1941 two of
the Cyclops’ sister ships similarly vanished without a trace along nearly
the same route
In all probability, however, there is no single theory that solves the
mystery.
Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle or Hurricane
Alley, is a loosely defined region in the western part of the North
Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have
disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Most reputable sources
dismiss the idea that there is any mystery.

The vicinity of the Bermuda Triangle is amongst the most heavily

traveled shipping lanes in the world, with ships frequently crossing
through it for ports in the Americas, Europe and the Caribbean islands.
Cruise ships and pleasure craft regularly sail through the region, and
commercial and private aircraft routinely fly over it.

The Gaddis Argosy article delineated the boundaries of the triangle,
giving its vertices as Miami; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Bermuda.
Subsequent writers did not necessarily follow this definition. Some
writers gave different boundaries and vertices to the triangle, with the
total area varying from 1,300,000 to 3,900,000 km2 (500,000 to
1,510,000 sq mi). "Indeed, some writers even stretch it as far as the Irish
coast." Consequently, the determination of which accidents occurred
inside the triangle depends on which writer reported them.
An explanation for some of the disappearances has focused on the
presence of large fields of methane hydrates (a form of natural gas) on
the continental shelves. Laboratory experiments carried out in Australia
have proven that bubbles can, indeed, sink a scale model ship by
decreasing the density of the water; any wreckage consequently rising to
the surface would be rapidly dispersed by the Gulf Stream. It has been
hypothesized that periodic methane eruptions (sometimes called "mud
volcanoes") may produce regions of frothy water that are no longer
capable of providing adequate buoyancy for ships. If this were the case,
such an area forming around a ship could cause it to sink very rapidly
and without warning.

But now there has been a Hindu historical connection to the Bermuda
Triangle mystery which seems to have some logic. It is well known fact
that most of the Hindu customs and traditions are based on scientific
facts and not myths. The Sanatana Dharma is a way of life that is
synchronized with nature and every little thing we perform is connected
to nature.
According to the Shiv Purana, the energy can be transformed into other
forms, it can be hidden within spiritual powers or leashed in any form of
matter on the planet, but cannot be destroyed. In scientific terms, this is
nothing but the 1st law of Thermodynamics.
The Bermuda Triangle which is also known as Devil’s Triangle
surprisingly finds itself mentioned in the Ramayana. It states the story of
a devil who tried to kill Lord Hanuman was the reason for the creation
of Bermuda Triangle. The Demoness Simhika popularly known as
Chhayagrahi is said to have resided in the Indian ocean who had
acquired a boon of grasping any object towards her however powerful it
might be, by Lord Brahma. Due to this reason no one dared to pass near
her.

When Hanuman went in search of Sita, he is said to have passed the

ocean where the Demoness Simhika was residing. Hanuman soon
realized that his powers were being tied, his speed had reduced by an
invincible power. When he looked around, he could see a floating
demoness pulling him towards her.
The demoness tried to eat Hanuman, but Lord Hanuman killed the devil
by decreasing the size of his massive body and entered through her
mouth, destroying internal organs. The daughter of Simhika was terrified
with the incident and fled to unknown place which may be the present
location of Bermuda triangle.
There is another story related to Bermuda Triangle, Ravan was a great
devotee of Lord Shiva, with his dhyan, penance, austerity he is said to
have earned many boons which were the main reason for his immense
power. He was also gifted with a gem which helped in the regeneration
of nectar at his navel, dictated that he could not be vanquished for as
long as it lasted. Which meant no one could kill him unless the gem is
taken back from him so the nectar could not be regenerated.
Just before the war between Lord Ram and Ravan, it seems that Shiva
had appeared in a disguise of a saint and requested Ravan’s wife
mandodari to grant him the gem as ‘Dakshina’. Mandodari very well
knew that the secret of the gem was not known to anyone except Lord
Shiva, herself and Ravan. She realized that it was the end of Ravan’s
time and without refusing had granted the gem to Shiva.
During the war, Lord Ram had fired the Arrow of Brahma at his navel,
Ravan fell on the ground and the nectar of immortality had came out his
body and Ravan was killed.
So after the death of Ravan, the gem had to be placed in a zone that
could absorb all the energy and uncontrollable power of the gem. Lord
Hanuman who took the gem placed it in the deepest ocean to minimize
its impact and power. The gem was apparently placed in the deepest core
of Ocean which today is known as Bermuda Triangle.

Although there is no scientific evidence to back these claims, it makes

one wonder if there is a possibility of such a gem being in existence
since its a well known fact that gems do possess certain powers and
energy in them. When people said that the Ram Setu existed, not many
believed, but later scientific facts showed that floating stone did exist in
the world and proved the bridge between Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu was
man made and people did realize that Ramayan was not mere
mythology. NASA proved the existence. So there are chances that there
exists a gem which may be the reason for the immense gravitational pull
in Bermuda Triangle. More over, many theories were proposed that
Bermuda Triangle possessed unexplained gravitational energy.
Many people suggested that there exists supernatural power which may
be the reason the object vanished as soon as they entered the area.
Recently it was said that the real reason for disappearance was the
presence of hexagonal clouds creating 170 mph air bombs full of wind
which may have caused the ships and planes to disappear. But this
theory also was rejected by many scientists.
Before getting into the theory, here is what the Shiv Puran says: Energy
should be transferred to other form. It can be hidden within spiritual
powers or leashed in any form of the matter in the planet. However, it
cannot be destroyed.
Now, as many people know that Bermuda triangle is an area where many
ships and aircrafts disappeared. It is said to be the triangle which defies
principles of physics.

earth and while describing the westernmost (as well as easternmost) part
known to him, he said the the oceans beyond are unknown and
boundless and no one can fathom them. This can imply that since the
world was more or less a single continent around that time (Pangaea), he
could have been describing the Bermuda Triangle, though it is just
speculation. More over, many theories were proposed that Bermuda
Triangle possessed unexplained gravitational energy.
The gem was apparently placed in the deepest core of Ocean which
today is known as Bermuda Triangle.
