A DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MUSIC 8

I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard: The learner demonstrates an understanding of common and distinct musical
characteristics of South Asia and the Middle East.
B. Performance Standard: The learner creates artworks showing the characteristic elements of the arts of East
Asia.
C. Learning Competencies:
1. Explains how music of a South Asian and the Middle East country relate to its geography and culture.

E. LESSON PROPER
Socialized Discussion:
India is the largest country in South Asia. Its music is as PAKISTAN
vast as its geographic location and as large as its Capital: Islamabad
