About This Document
This is an overview of the technical aspects of the release that require new or changed configuration,
and is intended for use by those with previous experience of installing Ideagen Pentana Audit and
Retain.

Changes
Changes to supported platform versions
As usual with a major release, we have updated the list of supported OS, SQL and .NET versions in line
with Microsoft’s product lifecycle.

We have also moved this information out into a separate document (previously it was being maintained
in several) – you can now find details in Pentana Audit v6 Technical Requirements.

Some Audit functionality in the WebUI

The WebUI now has some audit functionality, but be aware that custom business rules and fields may
not be available. Careful UAT will be required.

Help file has been split

Previously in the documentation package there was a single large PDF for each configuration of the
main application (single-client and multi-client). These PDF’s have been split into smaller chunks.

New
Reporting API
A new reporting API is now available as an add-on module.
