ABSTRACT
The growth in construction technique has become remarkable advanced in reaching the
building sustainable. Many nation have move forward in taking a notable action in this
sustainable scope. These scopes have led an introduction to green assessment tool system.
Among of green rating assessment tools are GreenRE, GBI, Green Ship and LEED. The selection
of the rating tools is based on the establishment and construction practices of the assessment.
This paper review on the common assessment criteria in these rating tools are energy efficiency,
indoor environmental quality, sustainable site planning and management, material and
resources, innovation, waste management, and other green features. The study has found that
four similar criteria that had been identified in the assessment tools such as energy efficiency,
water efficiency, material and resources and indoor quality environment. However, the
elements on environmental friendly material, reusable or recycle material and the
