The different versions
C05 (Instrument cluster 05): new, produced and made by Siemens VDO in 2 versions
: High (Comfort) and Basic (the Basic display unit is available in 2 variants
depending on the control used).

For the ECO display unit, the button at the end of the windscreen wiper stalk is used as
follows :
Press briefly to navigate through the driving information, hiding faults or information
present temporarily.
Press and hold to go back into the menus.
Press briefly to navigate within the menus.
Press and hold to choose a menu, validate an adjustment and to reset
maintenances
To exit the menu and sub menus, validate by pressing and holding the "SORTIE" menu

MENUS
HIGH and BASIC menus, vehicle at rest
To access the menus, press "OK" on the radio controls. Choose a menu by pressing
"forward (vol+) / back (vol+) or use the thumbwheel. Confirm by pressing "OK" again. Use
the exit button to go back to the previous screen.
Compared to the High and Basic versions, the menus on the Eco version have the
following modifications :
MENUS DISAPPEAR IN THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS :
Activation / deactivation of day running lights.
Brightness adjustment (pre adjustment in factory).
Reduced display.
Programming of wake-up and independent heating.
Choosing of sound options and volume adjustment (recommended ratio and
info beeps are default programmed).
Menus appear in the following conditions:
"Set time" in the main menu if tachograph not present (this menu is also used
to set the date).
"Reset trip data" enables the km and daily consumption counters to be reset.
"Exit" enables the user to scroll backwards in the sub menus and to exit the
menu.
To access the ECO display unit menus, press and hold the button at the
end of the windscreen wiper stalk.

With the vehicle running, only the "Reset trip data" and "Exit" menus can be accessed on
the ECO display unit.

The independent heating adjustment (maximum period 2 hours) and the wake-up
adjustment are not available on ADR.
Depending on the tachograph, the "Set time" menu can set the time to the nearest
minute (conventional tachograph) or change the time in half-hour steps (tachograph
with chip).

APPENDIX 2 MAINTENANCES
The maintenance alert indicator is displayed on the dashboard to warn that the time for a
maintenance is approaching (display 30 seconds) or due (permanent display). Refer to the
display maintenance menu to view the scheduled date and see which maintenance is
concerned. The display shows the km, date or hours of engine operation depending on the
component and which term is the closest. Maintenance for the ZF Intarder retarder is
linked with the gearbox maintenance. The display does not monitor the maintenance of the
VOITH retarder.
