ABSTRACT
The concept of process maturity
proposes that a process has a
lifecycle that is assessed by the
extent to which the process is
explicitly defined, managed,
measured, and controlled. A
maturity
model assumes that progress
towards goal achievement
comes in stages. The supply

developed by researchers over
the
past two decades. The Software

applied the concept of process
maturity to the software

Supply Chain management drivers and sustainability of green initiatives in

manufacturing enterprises :

A case in Pakistan , 2018 VOL: 22

By Muhammad Salman Shabbir Universiti Sains Malaysia

Summary :

In this research, supply chain drivers e.g , Facilities, inventory, transportation, information,
pricing, sourcing are mentioned that are very important for sustainability in the supply chain
management. Analysis of this research is divided into two parts , part one is about outer
assessment and another part is about internal assessment. In the outer assessment, reliability and
validity are checked , convergent validity is examined through composite reliability, factor
loadings and Average variance extracted. In the inner model , the relationship between
dependent and independent variables are analyzed, including indirect hypothesis with a
mediating variable. The result of this study shows that manufacturing companies should only
focus on the green drivers of the supply chain management, by which the manufacturing
capacities will enhance and stakeholders will also satisfied. Through this report we came to
know that sustainability of supply chain management reduces the ecological impact on
manufacturing enterprises. Responsiveness and efficiency of organizations competitive strategy
are needed by the manufacturing enterprise supply chain. This study has focused on the mediating
effect of the green supply chain integration in the relationship between key supply chain drivers
and supply chain sustainability . A questionnaire survey has also been conducted in which data is
collected from the from supply chain managers of manufacturing companies. The results shown
that impact of green supply chain integration, inventory, sourcing, facility, transport, information
and pricing have a positive impact on supply chain sustainability. The findings and result of the
study shown that they are useful for the researchers to understand the sustainability in green
supply chain integration.

Multi- principle collaboration and suppliers compliance with codes of

conduct.

Publication date : 12 november 2018

By : Emanuela Delbufalo.
Summary:

This research paper tells about how the multi-national corporations are managing their supplier
base in order to reduce the risk of suppliers non compliance . The approach used in this research
is basically a conceptual theory development approach in which key tenants of agency theory are
also utilized. By decreasing information asymmetry MNCs have a variety of mechanisms for
reducing the risk of suppliers` non compliance that will increase their bargaining power. This
study also tells us that managers in MNCs who have relationship with non-compliant suppliers is
also at its disposal the various ways to reduce the risk of non compliant suppliers. This unique
research also emphasizes the non compliant suppliers relationship in MNCs rather than a single
firm. Finally , this research tell us how the managers in MNCs manage their suppliers who are
non compliant with shared codes of conduct .

Supply chain network design under uncertainty

Publication : 9 April 2017

By Kannan Govindan
Summary :

This research paper is all about how the network is designed in supply chain management. The
uncertain factors in the supply chain network design are supply , demand and costs , which are
inherently uncertain. Secondly , uncertainty are mainly caused by the man-made or natural
disruptions. Two aspects are discussed in this paper 1) SCM aspects and 2) optimization aspects.
Pricing of products and revenue management issues are addressed in SCM aspects in a
comprehensive model under uncertainty will be a future research direction. Vehicle routing
decisions is also considered in SCND problem under uncertainty only for one layer of SC
network .Inventory and design decisions are also responsible for multiple layers of SC networks.
Environmental aspects are also important in designing SC networks under uncertainty. Research
gaps and potential future research guidelines are discussed in optimization aspects. Risk
management includes operational and disruption risks which plays a key role in decreasing the
current risks in supply chain. Disruption risks affect the SC for a long time. Fuzzy
programming , RO and stochastic programming are discussed in this paper to design supply
chain under uncertainty. Lastly, this research paper lacks the realism models based on real-world
application.

Development of a mechanism to facilitate the safety stock planning

configuration in ERP

Publication : 02 June , 2017

By Sameh M. Saad
Summary :

This research paper is very beneficial for manufacturing firms. This will help the manufacturing
firms to calculate safety stocks in terms of service level that offers the replenishment strategies
and enable them to classify demand patterns. This approach classify the real time demand which
helps in the development of production plan , designed to deal with the classification of demand.
This research paper also allows the exact estimation and analysis of safety stock and also
measure the lead time parameters. This papers also tells us to increase stock of desired products
otherwise high risk of stock out also occurs. Inventory managementt strategy is the need within
the area of Product Lifecycle Management that is an element that will helps the business
managers to medium and long term inventory optimization and the costs that reduced associated
with obsolete products.

The impact of supply chain integration and internal control on financial

performance

Publication : 27 February 2019

By Miklos Pakurar, Hossam Haddad and Judit Olah

Summary :

In this research , the supply chain integrations that are most commonly used are supplier
integration, customer integration and internal integration. To analyze the effect of supply chain
integration on financial performance , questionnaires were conducted. The efficientt control
system must be apply for the accomplishment of supply chain strategies. Although , the
dimension of internal control should be added in this paper to improve supply chain integration.
All the factors of supply chain integration were mentioned in the literature , but some were
eliminated and others were moved to other groups. Results of questionnaires tells us that all the
four factors positively impact on supply chain integration. The most important factor of internal
integration are making decisions together, interdepartmental meetings, being interactive
allocating proper costs for customers and utilization of knowledge. By planning ,
communication, scheduling, IT connections, supplier integration can be improved. Then, to
develop customer integration, there are many ways such as , evaluating relationships, IT
networks , predicting expectations. The internal control can be improved by transparency,
internal audits and control of cash flow. Competitive advantage is maintained and developed by
the supply chain integrations, especially with the role of interaction among indivisuals , maintain
good intra-organizational relationships. Finally in this research, performance improvement is
strongly related to internal integration than customer and supplier integration.
