I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the session, the students should be able to:
a. describe the short videos presented using sentences;
b. identify the type of verb/s used in the sentences;
c. arrange the words to form sentences with modal verbs of prohibition and;
d. construct sentences using modal verbs of prohibition.

IV. PROCEDURE:
Preliminary Activity:
The teacher greets the students.
The teacher asks the students to arrange their chairs and pick-up the
trashes.
A. ENGAGE: (Think-Pair-Share)
The teacher instructs the students to look for a pair and take down
notes while watching the videos.
The teacher plays the two videos.

The teacher calls random pairs to share their answers to the class.

B. EXPLORE: (Brainstorming Activity)
The teacher groups the students into five (5) groups;
Each group will be given a set of materials to work on;
The teacher instructs the students to arrange the words to make a
sentence;
Each group will be given ten (10) minutes to arrange the words and
form a sentence.
C. EXPLAIN:
Each group will post their output on the board;
A representative from each group will explain how they came up with
the sentence.
D. ELABORATE:
In between groups’ presentation, teacher critiques and processes the
sentences formed.
The teachers asks the students what the underlined words are.
Then, teacher discusses the Modal Verbs of Prohibition.
Modal verbs are used for prohibition. These situations are the
opposite of giving permission. This modal verbs for prohibition lesson
shows how to use mustn’t and can’t to prohibit someone or create
rules.
'Can't' usually gives the idea of something that is against the rules.
Mustn’t usually means that it is the speaker who is setting the rule.
E. EVALUATE:
The teacher groups the students into Subject Areas: English,
Mathematics, Science, Filipino, ESP, ArPan, TLE, and MAPEH.
The teacher asks the students to write sentences about the subject
area they are assigned to, using the modal verbs of prohibition.
Each Subject Area has a scenario.
