Subject

Right hand side King Pin ball bearing damage

Problem/ Complaint
King pin ball is breaking

Symptom
We can’t turn wheel as we want , King pin ball is breaking beause of customer can’t adding regular greasing

Troubleshooting /Service Step

Firstly, we dismounted the wheel inner snap ring and remove the dust cover. Then we remove steering lock screw
and remove lock pin to dismounted the steering cylinder from steering knuckle housing. We disconnected the
steering tie rod from steering knuckle housing by using a puller. Then we dismounted the brake pipe. Then we
remove final drive assembly remove it. Then we dismounted the upper and lower nut 6pcs and tighten screw in the
two holes provided and withdraw lower pin 2pcs.We remove upper and lower shim 2pcs.We dismounted the final
drive unit and remove the half shaft. Then we remove seal and thrust washer and remove the inner race of bearing.
We found that upper bearing is damage and can’t found that upper ball bearing seal and a little corrosion to axle
housing .

Analysis
When governor connecting lever spring is dismounted and mounted we need the following tools.
Alley key -6mm, 2mm
Rocket -1pcs
Extension -1pcs
Combination wrench-10mm
Long nose -1pcs
