2 PUBLIC Content
1 Purpose

In this document you find a description of how to create a transportation network for your TM S/4 HANA
system. The description includes those data segments that are relevant for the master data to work in a "usual"
system environment. The reader mainly learns which data segments and fields usually need to be filled with
input values. Fields that are not relevant for the scope of the S/4 HANA content delivery by SAP Best Practices
are not described in this document although they may appear on the UI.

2 Prerequisites

2.1 System Access

System Details

System Accessible via SAP Fiori Launchpad. Assign standard


role SAP_BR_TRANSPORTATION_MANAGER to your user, to
be able to do the neccessary settings described in this guide.

3 Procedures

3.1 Create Locations

Define the locations for your transportation network.

Procedure

1. Log on to your respective backend system with your user credentials.

The SAP Easy Access screen appears.

2. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose SAP Menu and go to Tools ABAP Workbench Development
ABAP Editor (transaction SE38).

The ABAP Editor initial screen opens


3. Enter the the program /SAPAPO/CREATE_LOCATION and choose Execute.

The Create Locations screen appears.


4. For the Shipping Point field, enter value 1710. Choose Execute.

The location for the shipping point is created.


5. Choose back for returning to the ABAP Editor (Transaction SE38).

The ABAP Editor Initial Screen opens.


6. Enter the program as /SCMTMS/BUPA_FOR_LOCATION and choose Execute

The Create Business Partners for Plants and Shipping Point Locations screen appears .
7. For the Shipping Point /Receiving Pt. field enter 1710. Choose Execute.

The business partner for shipping point location gets created and assigned to it.

3.2 Assign Location to Incoterm Location

Procedure

1. Log on to the SAP Fiori Launchpad using your user credentials.

2. On the Master Data section, choose the Assign Location to Incoterm Location tile.
A new window opens, showing the Assign Location to Incoterm Location screen.
3. Create following entries:

4. Save your entries.

3.3 Defining Geocoordinates for Locations

Define the geocoordinates for your locations.

Context

When you have defined your locations in SAP ERP and transferred the data to SAP TM, you must define
geocoordinates for your locations.

Procedure

1. Log on to the Fiori launchpad with your user credentials.

The Start page appears.


2. In the Master Data Transportation Network section, choose the Define Location tile.
3. On the Define Location screen, open the locations in Change mode and, on the General tab in the
Geographical Data section, enter the geocoordinates using the values shown in the following table:

4. Save your entries.

Geocoordinates are added to the transportation locations.

3.4 Defining Transportation Zones

Define the transportation zones for your network.

Procedure

1. Log on to the Fiori launchpad with your user credentials.

The Start page appears.


2. In the Master Data Transportation Network section, choose the Define Transportation Zone tile.
3. On the Define Transportation Zone screen, create the zone ZIP_ZONE_1 with a description of Santa Clara/
Santa Cruz/San Mateo.
4. On the Zone – Postal Code tab, choose Create and assign postal codes using the values shown in the
following table:

6. On the Define Transportation Zone screen, create the zone ZIP_ZONE_2 with a description of San
Francisco/Sacramento/San Joaquin.
7. On the Zone – Postal Code tab, choose Create and assign postal codes using the values shown in the
following table:

3.5 Defining Transportation Lanes

Define the transportation lanes for your network.

Procedure

1. Log on to the Fiori launchpad with your user credentials.

The Start page appears.


2. In the Master Data Transportation Network section, choose the Define Transportation Lane tile.

The Define Trnsportation Lane screen opens.


3. Define the transportation lanes as shown in the below table and use the following data for each lane:
○ Start Date: Today’s date
○ End Date: 12/31/2999
○ Relevant to Carrier Selection: Selected
○ Priority/Costs: X (neither costs nor priority)
○ Cost Origin: I (internal costs)
○ Continuous Move Type: No Continuous Move

3.6 Defining Intra-Zone Lanes

Define the intra-zone lanes for your network.

Procedure

1. Log on to the Fiori launchpad with your user credentials.

The Start page appears.


2. In the Master Data Transportation Network section, choose the Define Transportation Lane tile.
3. On the Define Transportation Lane screen, navigate to the Intra-Zone Lane/Loc. Transp. Lane tab to create
entries for the listed transportation zones.
4. In Loc./Transport. Zone, enter ZIP_ZONE_1 and press Create.
5. Create a new entry for Means of Transport using the information in the following table:

0001 (truck) Today’s Date 12/31/2999

6. Press the Copy and Close pushbutton.


7. Create a new entry for Carrier using the informationin the following table:

8. Save your entries.

The intra-zone lane is created.


9. Press the Back button to return to the entry screen.
10. In Loc./Transport. Zone, enter ZIP_ZONE_2 and press Create.

11. Create a new entry for Means of Transport using the information in the following table:

12. Press the Copy and Close pushbutton.


13. Create a new entry for Carrier using the informationin the following table:

14. Save your entries.

15. Press the Back button to return to the entry screen.
16. In Loc./Transport. Zone, enter ZIP_ZONE_3 and press Create.
17. Create a new entry for Means of Transport using the information in the following table:

18. Press the Copy and Close pushbutton.


19. Create a new entry for Carrier using the informationin the following table:
