Therefore,

Battery Calculation is 8500 + 1410 = 9910 Watts

= 9910 = 183.51 W/Cell

(Battery bank Output is 108 V with 2 V per cell. So, 108 / 2 = 54 Cells)

Using Table 3 of YUASA catalogue, map End Volts Per Cell (1.7V) for
3 Hours, we get 0.55 Watt/Cell/AH.

Battery capacity to supply 100% load for 3 hours = 183.51 / 0.55

= 333.65 AH ------- (1)

From YUASA catalogue, we select battery type EN160-6, which is rated at

139 AH.
So, 139 x 3 banks = 417 AH ---------------- (2)

Above (2) is higher than (1), therefore the load that 3 banks of 18 nos.
batteries provide, will be more than the actual required load and the total
battery capacity is sufficient to take up the load for 3 hours.

RESULT :

3 x 18 No. EN160-6 YUASA Batteries will be required.

Formula = Load + Losses = Watts Required

No. Of Cells

Total Load = 9 KVA x 0.85 p.f. = 7650 Watts

Therefore,

Battery Calculation is 7650 + 1269 = 8919 Watts

= 8919 = 165.16 W/Cell

(Battery bank Output is 108 V with 2 V per cell. So, 108 / 2 = 54 Cells)

Using Table 3 of YUASA catalogue, map End Volts Per Cell (1.7V) for
3 Hours, we get 0.55 Watt/Cell/AH.

Battery capacity to supply 100% load for 3 hours = 165.16 / 0.55

= 300.30 AH ------- (1)

From YUASA catalogue, we select battery type EN160-6, which is rated at

139 AH.
So, 139 x 3 banks = 417 AH ---------------- (2)

Above (2) is higher than (1), therefore the load that 3 banks of 18 nos.
batteries provide, will be more than the actual required load and the total
battery capacity is sufficient to take up the load for 3 hours.

Note: Manufacturer reserves the right to replace Yuasa Batteries with any
other equivalent make.

RESULT : 3 x 18 No. EN160-6 YUASA Batteries will be required.
