Summary
The attached run shows the distribution of $23,786,162 in direct COVID aid to towns in Pay 2020
under the compromise proposal. This is part of the approximately $841.5 million of state CARE
money that will be distributed to counties, cities, and towns.
Aid to towns with a population of 5,000 or more is the same as per capita aid distributions to
cities and is approximately $75.34 per capita.
Aid to towns with a population of 200 or more but less than 5,000 is equal to $25 per capita.
A town with a population less than 200 receives zero direct aid, but may apply to the county
in which it is located for reimbursement for documented covid related costs up to the lesser
of $25 per capita or the documented spending amount. The county has discretion to make
payments to towns above this minimum required amount.
The printout shows the amount received by each town on a county by county basis.
