WARM-UP: The teacher will ask the students what they understand by literary analysis.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to give context
to what literary analysis is, and to practice it.

PRESENTATION: The teacher will show the students a PDF explaining what literary analysis is, key
elements to take into account while analyzing a text, etc. Students must write notes in their
notebooks about the information presented by the teacher.

TASK: The teacher will show One Paragraph Stories for students to read them.Then, the students
must read and analyze them using the elements studied in class. After that, the students and the
teacher will share their literary analysis with the rest of the class, creating an oral discussion.

WRAP-UP: The teacher will ask the students what are the key elements to take into account while
doing a literary analysis.

Technical

WARM-UP: The teacher will ask the students what they know about volcanoes; after they share
their answers the teacher will ask them to brainstorm as many words as possible related to the
topic (notebooks) in two minutes.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to learn new
information and vocabulary related to volcanoes.

students about the information presented on the video. Then, the teacher will play a video called

they know about a similar event happening recently.
TASK: The teacher will ask the students to start reading and answering the exercises of Unit #4: 4A
'SACRED MOUNTAINS'.

WRAP-UP: The teacher will ask the students why volcanoes are important in different cultures and
what's the best way to handle disasters caused by them.

Lesson 1

WARM UP: The teacher will ask the students which is the most important technological gadget
they know and why.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to identify main
ideas in a text, and to practice vocabulary related to technology.

PRESENTATION: The teacher will show the students a video called '5 NEW INVENTIONS 2019 |

introduce Unit #5 to the students: Technology. After that, the teacher will ask some question
about the information presented on the video.

TASK: The teacher will ask the students to work on pages 82 and 83 from the book.

WRAP-UP: The teacher will ask the students which technological gadget would they like to be
invented in the following years.

* The teacher will provide guidance and feedback the whole time.
Lesson 2 (lab)

WARM UP: The teacher will take the students to the lab and they will organize in the computers
using their personal code.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to study in an
interactive way the different tenses learned during second term. Then, the teacher will tell the
students to go online and complete the different quizzes the teacher asigns. Keeping track of their
scores in their notebooks.

PRESENTATION: The students will start answering different tests assigned by the teacher in order
to help them study Grammar studied in class

EVALUATION: The students will write a short anecdote using the different grammar forms.

WRAP-UP: The students will compare their results and discuss their strenghts and weaknesses.

Lesson 3 and 4

1° HOUR:

WARM UP: The class will start with a conversation about the elements students consider are
important to conduct a great oral presentation.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to understand
how important it is to have a great control of body language during oral presentations.

PRESENTATION: Then, students will watch an extract of the

TASK: While watching the video the students will make notes. After that, individually, they will
write a short paragraph in which they share their ideas about body language in oral presentations.
Finally some of the students will share their paragraphs with the class and the teacher will lead a
short discussion.

WRAP-UP: Together the students decide which should be the "dos and donts" when talking about
body language in oral presentations.

Notice: for the next session the students should bring the PPT they created for the symposium.

SECOND HOUR

WARM UP: The students will recall the important points from the video they watched the previous
class.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to present the
PPT they have prepared for the symposium.

PRESENTATION: The students will gather in their symposium groups and will have 5 minutes to set
up whatever they need to for the mock presentations.

TASK: Every group will present their project, taking into consideration the guidelines given. The
time for the presentation of each group is between 6 to 8 minutes. As every group is presenting
the others will make notes about their performance.

WRAP-UP: The students and the teacher will discuss about the good and bad things during the
presentations to reflect on the performance.

Lesson 5

WARM UP: The teacher will ask the students which is their favorite video game.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to learn new
vocabulary related to technology.
PRESENTATION: The teacher will show the students a video called 'A BRIEF HISTORY OF VIDEO

question about the information presented on the video.

TASK: The teacher will ask the students to work through pages 84 to 85 from the book.

WRAP-UP: The teacher will ask the students which would be the evolution of video games in the
future.

* TUTORING SESSION: This day the teacher will work on the Tutoring Session with the students,
TOPIC: Organizing vocabulary about technology in a mind map.

Lesson 6

WARM UP: The teacher will ask the students what the dangers of technology are.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to go over the
activities completed the previous lessons and identifying the mistakes and correcting them.

TASK: The teacher will ask the students to go over the activities from the book completed during
the week and together will identify the mistakes and correct them.

WARM UP: The teacher will ask the students about the most common uses a smartphone has.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to write their
about their opinion and experiences related to technology, taking into consideration the different
videos watched during the week.

PRESENTATION: The teacher will explain to the students that they will be given 25 minutes to
write a text. The topic of the text is their experiences connected to technology.

TASK: in their notebooks, individually, the students will write a text (opinion text, narrative, article)
in which thay share about their experiences with technology, taking into account the role of
technology and the effects on their lives.

WRAP-UP: Every student will read a text written by one of their classmates, checking use of
grammar and vocabulary, as well as the content of the text.

WARM UP: The teacher will ask the students about what they know about war.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to identify key
concepts about war, and to discuss some questions related to it.

their opinion about what war is.
TASK: The teacher will ask the students to open their booklets on page 29. In there, there's an
image that the students must analyze. After that, the teacher will ask different questions related
to war, especifically in our country, for the students to discuss.

WRAP-UP: The teacher will ask the students to give conclusions about the topics treated in class.

Friday

WARM UP: The teacher will ask the students if war is part of human nature.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher will tell the students that the objective of this class is to identify key
concepts about war, and to learn new vocabulary about it.

some questions about the information presented on the video.

EVALUATION: The teacher will ask the students to open their booklets on page 30. In there, the
students must complete a text with the correct form of the word given, for the text to be coherent
and cohesive. (TO BE GRADED!)

WRAP-UP: The teacher will ask the students to give conclusions about the topics treated in class.
